Well, I think I'd vote for kinda.... In spirit but not in deed, I guess. You guys are right, it's the way he looks at her. XD But you know, my favorite bits are not Misaki reacting to Usui, althoughthat'sgreatdon'tbashme, but Usui being caught by surprise whenever Misaki makes an advance. It's like he's in shock whenever he gains any ground. I love his expression, anyway. 😀
They say it's the thought that counts, but then they tell you, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions......"
Will no one scanlate Takahashi Miyuki?! T_T
Yeah, I know whatchu mean.. ;__;
Some scenes just make you go "Omfg. O//O"
Voted for kinda XD

Nah, not really. Sure the scenes are intimate, but if a bit more partial nudity were added, then probably. 😛

Smut without the smut? Perfect description I'd say, once you look past the official definition of 'smut' and think outside the box. The gist of my gut feelings is that this entire series is about a dear couple looking cute together, rather than their relationship actually getting much of anywhere...
Well, until now (I just finished chapter 45)...

😁 I voted for kinda. Like, some scenes have that zomg... this is getting steamy!! sexual tension (like the Misaki-chan's in a bikini scene 😲 ), and then it friggin' ends 😢 . It's definitely Usui's random assertiveness... and his eyes... *squeeeee~ those eyes...

I think I voted totally...
In a sense of "it's VERY smutty" but without the actual smut happening. xD
It gives you that feeling and they don't even have to do anything totally sexual for me to have that feel to it. Cheers to Sensei for making this possible (even if she prolly didn't mean to...or maybe she did... o.O hoho xD)
I EFFIN AGREE omgod the scene with the rabbit apples and usui feeding masaki WTF WAS THAT LOL it has such a dark sadist/masochist underlining in it that it totally put me off for the whole series for awhile... still have yet to catch up <__<

Hahaha i wish it was smut. Or they'd have sex or something lol. Or at least a little nudity. But if they really did it, it'd pretty much ruin the essence of the story.
This manga has great potential to become a smutty one. It's just that the mangaka likes to break it off randomly before it ever goes too far. (I wouldn't mind if it went too far though. Besides, i've never seen a smutty manga with a strong-headed heroine! It'll be great for people like me!)
STILL i wish they'd have SEX!! <: LOLOL. SMUT IS GREAT! Please, do it!!
Note: Oh i get it... (after seeing the bikini scene) there is a lot of sexual tension in the manga... that's why it appears smutty even though it's not.
THIS SCENE IS JUST GREAT!! = http://www.mangareader.net/147-9775-35/kaichou-wa-maid-sama/chapter-32.html

and i know i'm going to like this a lot. <3
^ manga: Dengeki Daisy.
I am immensely sexy. I live in a sexy house with my sexy family. My alias is #sexy. I have a sexy computer.
I think Freddie Mercury is so sexy!!

you might think my answer is irrelevant since i've only watched the anime and haven't started the manga yet, but it definitely has a sort of smut feel. even without a sex scene i still thought it felt sexy

I think what you guys mean is (un)resolved sexual tension. It is the same sensuality that well-executed romance manga (not those brainless ones) should build up before the action starts.
In comparison there are other, even more suggestive manga without smut scenes:
- Hakuji by MORIE Satoshi: About a painter with a skin fetish and his muse.
- Dansai Bunri no Crime Edge by HIKAGI Tatsuhiko: The most adorable couple with a hair and haircutting fetish.
"Stories are what death thinks he puts an end to.
He can't understand that they end in him, but they don't end with him."
- Ursula K. Le Guin, Gifts
To be savoured:
- Blood Alone by TAKANO Masayuki
- Otoyomegatari by MORI Kaoru
- Gangsta. by Kohske
- Seishun Kouryakuhon by AKIZUKI Sorata

The way Usui teases Misaki makes me anticipate for smut from previous smut I've read, but nooooo, they never go all the way D: I also believe that because of this manga's popularity, adding pure smut would limit the audience because of age and preference (I know a lot of people who are disgusted by smut, but I don't blame them.) GAHHHH I WANT SMUTTTTTTTTTTTT. bleh.
I wonder how many unsatisfied boners Usui had to deal with. 😉
