Hi guys I'm currently interested in military themed works.
So basically I'm looking for any manga/manhwa/manhua that has REALISTIC portrayal of people serving under the military....

Best example would be this >>>>> Peak (IM Gang-hyeok)

I know its a bit uncommon but if you can think of any then please share...
Thanks in advance.... 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Are you looking for a modern setting or not?
I'm thinking of Imperial guards, even though it has a fantasy-ish feeling. I think it describes quite well the harshness of the war for soldiers. Keep in mind that the manga is finished but the story isn't, though. The story continues in a novel and the manga is just here to promote the novel, sadly. It's a very good manga though.

I don't mind if the setting is not modern and a little fantasy is ok...

Gunka no Baltzar

Front Mission - Dog Life & Dog Style

Cat Shit One and its sequels - Provided you don't mind anthropomorphism.

Banggwa hu Jeonjaeng Hwaldong

Marginal Operation - Maybe. I didn't read far enough to be certain, though.

Gunslinger Girl -- But it's a bit too obsessed with making us pity the moe girls, imo.

Husk Eden

Gyakusatsu Kikan (Novel) - Also has an anime which will apparently air in English soon.

Koukoku no Shugosha

Zipang - Well, the time travel element isn't realistic, but everything else is.

Youjo Senki (Novel) - Has both manga and anime adaptations.

Who Fighter with Heart of Darkness

Onward Towards Our Noble Deaths is based on the author's own experiences in WWII.
