Chapter was awesome in a sense that it will be the start of a new arc.
I know a lot of Erza lovers would not like it, but I would have preferred it if Erza's dream was actually what happened.
What are your views guys?

Nah, that would be too sad and unlike Fairy Tail to do that. This is a friendship manga, just like One Piece, and for someone just to die like that especially when it's an important and well-developed character is unlikely. I'm quite pleased with this outcome.
And since the last 2-3 chapters, I'm supporting Erza & Natsu all the way. 😁

i kinda wooulda liked her to die too...that woulda had an awsome affect on Natsu...and with Erza out of the picture we all kno who inherits fairy tale

who inherits Fairy Tail? Not Natsu, cause there are stronger mages (S ranked), so... 😛
Anyway, when i read the pages depicting the death of Erza, i wasnt so convinced it was only a "possible future": ok with the shounen action manga, but her death was somewhat credible too. Phew....close call though, and now for an uber NatsuxErza all the wayy !!! 🤣 😀

Same here! I was expecting then Erza appearing as an evil character or something. Still it was kind of touching, Erza finally being able to shed tears of happyness.

Yeah i know, thats why i said that if Fairy Tail should be inherited at the present moment, it wouldnt be Natsu to take command. :3

I wasn't sure by the end of Chapter 99 wether she would live or not. But I bet a lot of people expected her to die then. Gotta agree with DL though, when he said that Fairy Tail is a friendship manga like One Piece, so Erza being alive is to be expected. Her tears at the end of the chap we're really touching too.
The council members said two vacant seats in the ten mages right? why are there only 7 of them at the fake funeral?
Where are Jerad and Urtear? lol.

i was like 99% sure she wouldnt die, more of her CHARACTER wouldnt be removed, as in if she WERE TO DIE in some instance, she would have been ressurected somehow, not the kind of character that would just be killed off.... same with ANY CHARACTERS from ONE PIECE or BLEACH.... though id admit in NARUTO
in NARUTO i was surprised wen they killed off asuma, deidara (so early, though they DID show all of his skills_ so the story dont need em any more lol, and jiraiya, woah that surprised me, thought he had some more thing to offer to the story considering the fact hes the guy who collects all the information and has the longest history with the previous hokages and the war, though since orochimaru died which surprised me too which sasuke killed him off like nothing or more of itachi did, im assuming the third person of the legendary sennin ( tsunade ) would be killed some point soon

If you dont think Natsu is an S class mage than you are being quite silly. He ate the fucking aethereon. Then he walked inside of it to save Erza. It took so many S class mages to even be able to MAKE the aethereon, and Natsu was stronger.
