Quote from zarlan

That's not what a double post is.
To quote Wikipedia (with added emphasis, from me):

Since when has Wikipedia been unilaterally accepted as the one true gospel, or indeed, a valid dictionary, for internet terms?

For example, Urban dictionary gives us the following:

Double Post
Can either be:

  1. When someone posts the exact same thing twice in a row.

  2. When someone posts something then, rather than using the "edit" button, posts an elaboration or similar right after the 1st.

  3. Simply two posts by the same member, regardless of reason, after each other.

As a 4th year member of MU, one would expect you to know which one of these is the definition that applies to this particular forum.

That is what double posting means, what it has always meant, and what it is generally agreed to mean.

I frequent 2 forums, both of which use the 3rd definition of double posting. Who are you to say they are using the term in the wrong way? You are familiar with the saying "when in Rome", aren't you?
