Naruto's Mother?

Well, I was always under the impression that the anime was based off the manga and the anime pretty much details how the Kyuubi was captured, which involved the use of a newborn.
I believe it was a combination of induced labor and the unsealed Kyuubi chakra that killed his mom.
So I'm gonna go with Senefen on this one

I always kinda imagined that Minato killed her. I imagine that A really strong kunoichi would refuse to sacrifice her child, and would fight to the death.
Just randomly, wouldn't an orphan ask people about his parents?
Wonder what they told Naruto.

That's quite a plot twist theory! 😲
But I think it's just too dark for Shonen.

Naruto's getting darker, considering the number of people dying. Also Sasuke's family dying is pretty dark.

Nah, that kind of dark is normal, imho.
Wife-killing kind of dark is more suitable for seinen...maybe.

i agree with you on that. plus it doesn't fit his character to do something like that. his legacy pretty much seems like that of self sacrifice instead of using others. if anything, she could have sacrificed herself to help seal the Kyuubi in Naruto with Minato. from looking at Gaara's life in comparison, his mother died from the child birth cause of the Bijuu sealed within him. so it's possible the same could have happened to Naruto.

Ahah. No. A real ninja, (according to the "rules" in Naruto) should be able to sacrifice any and everything to save the village. And why is it less disturbing to kill your entire family, mother, father, cousins, best friend ect. to stop a huge war, than it is to kill one person and save around the same amount of people?. i dunno. Gaara's mom lived long enought to name him Gaara (with the kanji double meanings and all )
Wouldn't Kushina live long enough to say, "Hey Minato don't be loser. Get some other baby."

😲 Would be a good plot twist! But Kushina's death wasn't "confirmed" was it? There must be a reason why they haven't told Naruto who his parents were.

considering how Kakashi has brought himself up to be a ninja, i think those ideals sort of went out the window. Minato's disciples seemed to follow more of a self sacrificing way than the "normal rule" in Naruto. at least from what we've seen. not just him but most ninjas of Konoha follow that kind of mentality of putting others before themselves too. the picture you're painting seems more along the lines of Itachi's situation. i doubt it's something that would be repeated let alone started with Minato around. i really can't see someone who thought there son should more or less be seen as a hero for burdening himself to carry a demon, while sacrificing his own life to take part of it's soul along with his in eternal conflict, decide to kill his wife. (long sentence i know but i added the description to show what i mean 😛 ) and i doubt if Kushina did have some time to say such things i doubt she would've spouted something as awful as take someone else kid for this kind of burden. but then again we don't know to much about her to say that.

Well, the difference between naruto and gaara's sealing method was that naruto was a newborn baby, and gaara was unborn. I am pretty sure some of the chapters mention it.
As for naruto's mother, well she probably died fighting off the kyuubi.

After she gave birth or before? 😛

Shukaku was sealed in Gaara before he was born, thats why his mother died during labour. "I took away the life of a woman who gave birth to me" or in manga "by sacrificing my mother's life, I was created as the village's greatest masterpiece," this of course implies that Gaara was still unborn when the sealing occurred. Naruto on the other hand was already born when Kyuubi was sealed in him(now that I mention it, only ichibi was given a name, I don't remember if the other names of the beasts are mentioned) this is shown when he is in the crib in the beginning of the story.
As for those who say that Kushina is back in her country, that is seriously unlikely. I don't think that she was the kind of mother that would abandon her child. Like I said before, most likely she died during Kyuubi's attack on the village. Looking at naruto, it gives me an impression that she wasn't the type to run away while her husband and village were fighting.

Hopefully Naruto will meet Kushina later on in the manga, though it's unlikely seeing how the manga might be ending soon.

There is no information about naruto's mother, not so many people knows who is Naruto's father but part of the story of the mother should be discovered if Naruto goes to the village of the Rain where she is from.
It could be possible that she is alive not knowing that her son is alive, or maybe she had a brother that would be Naruto's uncle
