Indeed.
Took umbrage. Gravely.
On the topic, yes, but it doesn't matter
that much, since many series start to suck
later on.

I also think the same as the OP, however there are things which I respect for the project managers that choose to pick up new projects:
They pick up new projects based on the fact that it might appeal to them, and might bring in more readers to follow their other projects and their latest ones. Bringing in more readers is a big boost to scanlating groups on the fact that they can get more donators to help them out.
Also it might appeal to certain new staff as they might be interested in getting that manga finished.
In my opinion, if you feel like they forget, why not just leave a comment, or better yet join their staff and request it. They are surely more understanding to staff than their leechers...

Indeed.I'm grateful to scanlators for what they do, but I am annoyed when older projects are put on hold for new ones, or dropped altogether. How about finishing up that manga you half-scanlated before going after something new?
I hate groups claiming projects. The whole idea seems stupid. Who cares if two groups are doing the same series, and why does it matter?
Yeah, lol.
About claiming projects, I only think it matters when you actually/the groups buy the raws.
I have seen some projects that were stopped in the middle, and would like to see them completed.
Nothing comes to mind right now though.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.
