hello!
i know the title is a little strange but i thought it would get peoples attention.
i am a proud yaoi reader, but i often find myself coming to a dead end. most of the yaoi's that i read do have sex scenes, but they seem to have nothing to do with the actual plot. its like one minute there's a story, and the next i'm reading porn.its starting to annoy me.
so, i was wondering if anybody knew a yaoi manga where the sex is actually part of the plot, or at least has some meaning, and the characters actually show their love for each other during the act.
because im sick of: "i love you!i live you too! lets have sex now that we're in love!~okay!"
some examples are Cut or Saa Koi ni Ochitamae
thanks!

I'm not sure if this will answer you request, but I'll try my best.
I think something maybe like Brother X Brother where a group of brother are kind of battling over who inherits the house their father left for them. I don't remember if they are actual brothers by blood. The sex in here is it a bit more complicated and intertwined with the actual plot.
Another story might be ViewFinder. It does have moments where it's random sex scenes but a lot of them don't have love in it. It's not all straight up rape type of scenes though. For example, one of the sex scenes was done to cause the main character to be late in calling this Chinese mafia man back. Which cause more problems down the road. It was still really porn-like but it probably had more depth than a lot of other stuff out there.
If you want something sweet and not revolved highly around sex, I.D. was thoroughly enjoyable for me. It's really short and it's more about the relationship, in my opinion, than the actual act. They do have sex, but not overly.
Love Hustler might or might not answer this forum. It has a wonderful plot that you could find in shoujo or something. It's a little lacking in the romance development but it could be worse. There's also a cute extra where the boyfriends of the twins in the story compare sex. An interesting turn out.
I think I rambled a little too much. Hopefully some of these are to your liking! And your title did catch my attention...what does that mean, I wonder...
There's an old saying my late grandma taught me. When you're ten, they call you prodigy. When you're fifteen, they call you a genius. Once you hit twenty, you're just an ordinary person. About three years until I'm ordinary. Man... I can't wait to be ordinary.

Spontaneously - Kuimonodokoro Akira, since it allows a more "grown up" and realistic kind of view on the characters? And, if it comes to your request ...
The 32-year-old main character receives suddenly a love confession from his younger colleague, but he has never thought of getting in this kind of relationship with another man. So, as you can guess, he gets quite stressed and starts to struggle with his pride - and his fear of not being able to turn back, if he takes the next step and really gets intimate with a guy ... Also, he is a bit of a scaredy cat and fears to get hurt, while ending up as the "girl" in their relationship.
"It's like love is a bonus in your life. Even without it, I'm just fine. I don't feel like pointlessly searching for it. You don't have to make yourself unhappy." (Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji)
"Why does it rain?" - "To create drama." (Drops (Andou Yuki))

If you liked A Cruel God Reigns, you'll also like Kaze to Ki no Uta. They have similar themes. They're both dark as well if that bothers you.

haru wo daiteita (embracing love) has quite a few sex scenes, but for the most part they revolve around the plot. There are some pointless sex scenes but even they work well with the plot.
