Bad puns aside, hello. I'm... well gosh I just hate giving out personal info to random strangers online, so let's just say I'm sorta older. Not old, old. Not old as in I'm expecting hair loss or paunch anytime soon. Just old enough.

As far as manga artists go, my personal big three are Go Nagai, Akira Toriyama, and Tetsuo Hara. Honorable mentions go to Ruminko Takahashi, Katsuhiro Otomo, Leiji Matsumoto, Kouta Hirano, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Masamune Shiro, and the fine gals over at CLAMP.

I'd list Yoshitaka Amano, but he's not really a manga artist per se... but what the hell, he's so cool I'll throw him up there anyhow. 😀

At least 80% of my all-time favorite manga have through some cosmic quirk of rotten luck suffered the unfortunate fate of either never having been licensed, translated, or scanslated by anyone ever, with about a snowballs chance in hell of that ever changing anytime soon, or briefly were for all of two seconds before getting abruptly canceled and left to languish in out of print obscurity never to be heard from again by anyone other than losers like me.

I hear tell that this be a great site for hooking up with scanslation projects. I figured I might pop in once in awhile bearing complete Raws of some of my favorite unloved and unappreciated bastard manga children, in the hopes that they might be seen by others and appreciated for the fine works of ass-kickery that they are and get picked up for the scanslation treatment. I’d do it myself, but sadly my Kanji skills are nill.

I’ve only heard of this site through a friend, and while I’ve taken a look around and read the rules and all, I’m still horribly noobish as to how things work around here. So if anything I said in my stated intentions clashes with how scanslation business is conducted here, by all means please let me know.

At the moment I have two full manga series; one already in my possession, scanned and ready to go, the other on it's way in a month or so. Both are very old and LOOOOOOONG overdue for a translation and some wider exposure to the manga community.

The one I don't have just yet (but will very soon) is so incredibly obscure, I may well be the only person in the western hemisphere to own a copy, and possibly even the very first person ever to host it online (which is remarkable considering it's age and past popularity in Japan).

I was hoping due to their insane rarity and complete lack of exposure, that there'd be a group interested in doing something unique and extremely unconventional for the mainstream manga scene in the case of the former, and in the case of the latter being the first to ever expose it to an English speaking audience.
