Omg I've read 8 out of the nine that you have suggested as an example (>\<)!!

One that I read a few years ago and that I would recommend is called Joou-sama no Inu.

But if that one is too big of a commitment, then there is also one that doesn't quite fit with the physical characteristics but Beast Master is shorter with only 7 chapters, and still has the same "feel" as what I think you are looking for 🙂 .
