-final fantasy 13 will come out for europe and the us for the 360 and ps3 at the same time, but it was said that the 360 version will be developed after the completion of the japanese ps3 version, so the US version might possibly be out first.

Personally, I'm really happy they are doing this. I don't have a PS3, and I certainly didn't plan on buying one any time soon (not that I don't want to) and so this gives me the opportunity to play the game.

So, score one for the 360!

im interested in seeing if there will be any noticeable differences in graphics/sound. my friend and i played CoD on his 360 and my ps3 and we found that the ps3 was a little smoother and with better sound (same tv and with hd cords)
it would suck if it was like this for final fantasy too b/c everyone should get the same great experience, right?

Now the only thing that left is that they say they will nerf the AI and difficulty for the boxtard players, as they did in their time with ff IV for the US release

Final fantasy on something OTHER than PlayStation? I mean, i can understand when it was on nintendo, It had the best gfx of the day, which is why they jumped to Ps, cause they trumped nintendo on gfx, But now they jumped to Xbox? So youre telling me that the shitty Xbox has better gfx than the Ps3?!?!?!? No freakin way.

On a related note, i think this may just be a ploy to make more money. Any thoughts?

Well they are saying it's being developed for the PS3 first. That could mean they're giving it PS3 quality graphics and such and just scaling it back for the Xbox version.

Even though I've never been someone graphics really matter to, in this case I'm hoping the PS3 version is graphically superior.

Wow.... I never realized so many people still played Final Fantasy. The last one I played was FF8, I think. (did't really enjoy it as much as FF6 or 7)

Anywayz.... I think the PS3 still has many exclusive RPG's. I'm hoping for a sequel to Nocturne (Shin Megami Tensei).

Regarding the PS3 exclusives.... it still has Gran Turismo, which is all that matters to me.

Yeah, I'm kinda surprised at how FF has continued to grow in popularity recently despite having spiked in quality with FFVI (or maybe the original Tactics if that counts) . Most of the recent games haven't been worth much (though I was scared away by both XI and XII so can't judge them fairly) X and VII were alright but most of the PS era games weren't all that good.

I'm still gonna get XIII if only because I support the female main character thing. Lightning is hot. I have no interest in versus to tell the truth.

I'm confident that even if my PS3 doesn't get very many games, my Wii, DS and PSP will.

Sorta agree with you.... FF6(4?) was probably the best. Back then they concentrated on actual gameplay rather than million dollar cutscenes.

Despite all this... with the games on this and that console, the Wii remains to be the only system sold out regardless of where I look at retailers, rofl.

Awesome, now I don't have to buy a PS3. Screw exclusives. All games should be multi-platform (the PS3 and Xbox360 games anyway, as it could prove difficult to port Wii and PC games).

Metal Gear Solid is the only reason I want a PS3 now, but I would never spend the $500 for the bundle with PS3. I suppose for a die hard fan it would make sense to, but I never did get into the Metal Gear series (still if it was on the 360 or if I had a PS3 I would like to play it as it looks kick-ass).
