Hi everyone! =) I need some help finding BL manga that I could buy at most bookstores.
I'm looking for shounen-ai preferably, ya know, no hardcore sex etc, but, because I'm desperate, I will look into some yaoi if it isn't centered around smut and stuff. I'm also willing to look into things that aren't really BL, but give very subtle hints or just enough for a fangirl to run off of xD
I'm pretty picky about art, it's hard to explain my exact tastes. But one thing I do avoid, as bad as it sounds, is "older" looking BL manga. Anything older then 2004 usually has a look... I can't explain it, but its very masculine characters with short whispy hair and strong faces..... I must sound pretty stupid >.< But idk how else to say it. Don't worry about this too much, but keep it in mind.
I'm just looking for clean, pretty art, and attention to detail =)
I'm trying not to be too picky, since I know the BL selection in stores can be pretty weak. So, dispute my preferences, if you have a favorite, or recommend something strongly that doesn't fall into my criteria, oh well, give it to me anyhow xD I'll look into it ^^
Heres a few I've already got, and like =) Notice, most of them aren't established shounen-ai or yaoi, but as I said before, there's enough of a "relationship" or hinting in these that I enjoy it like BL, haha.
Kuroshitsuji
Pandora Hearts
Kyo Kara Maoh (This manga kinda has that art style I mentioned above, but I tolerate it since it doesn't seem too bad)
Togainu no chi
Nabari no Ou
07 Ghost
Vassalord
Let me know!! =)

Huh, we have similar taste in series. I'll list a few series that you may enjoy, but first I'll give you some tips to hunt down shounen-ai and yaoi in stores.
When you see a shelf of manga, a good way to spot a yaoi manga (unless it has its own section) is by the publisher. The easiest to spot is Blu manga, which has a stripe of blue at the bottom of the spine. June manga are also attention grabbing, because they are larger then normal manga and have a flowery logo. 801 media has a slutty looking kitty girl on the spine. Also keep an eye out for DMP's small purple logo. The trick is that once you spot them, check the cover art and rating and see if the book interests you.
As for series, you should try:
Aquarian Age: Orion no Shounen
Sono Yubi Dake ga Shitteiru
Gravitation (old style - I personally prefer the anime)
Princess Princess
Tactics
Yami no Matsuei (again, the anime is better)
X (old manga again, clean anime)
I seconds Loveless. Something tells me you might also like D.Gray-man and Magical JxR even though they are not shounen-ai. Fans adore slashing them.
It is not out in English, but you should look into RustBlaster (just slash though). It is by the same artist of Kuroshitsuji. She also has some actual yaoi, but it is not as strong as her other work.
