New Poll - Best Shoujo

I haven't read enough of the manga in the poll, to feel that I should vote
...but there is one thing I can say:
Chang Ge Xing doesn't belong there.
It's not shoujo ...as it's not even a manga.

Skip Beat is so going to win... >:-(
I haven't read most of the shoujo on the list since they aren't completed (I only read complete series), but since I really want to read Love So Life, I voted for that.

What I have to say about this... It doesn't reflect quality. Only fandom. As always... One Piece is not the best shounen. But they have tons of fanboys. Skip Beat is far from being the best shoujo. But, once again, it has tons of fangirls. Oh well...

Yay, HxH came in 2nd. Pretty good, considering how the 2011 anime doesn't even have an English dub. Grats to all the FMA fans. 🙂
And wow wow wow, I'm so glad Basara made the list! I nominated it but didn't expect it to be particularly popular. It definitely receives my vote.

This poll has showed me how removed I've become from shoujo. I haven't read any of these manga, and haven't even heard of most of them.
It's hard to decide if Chang Ge Xing does or does not belong here since the Japanese magazine it's in is Seinen whereas it's published online in China and I can't read Mandarin so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's actually in the shoujo demographic there.
And to KaoriNite, I kinda get where you're coming from having not read most of these but I have to say that Basara and Glass Mask are fairly old, definitely older than Nana.
Anyway think I'm gonna go with Basara since it's complete, and very satisfactorily so, had good art, and I definitely enjoyed the female and male leads.

But if it makes you happy to win on the internet, have at it.

Looks like Shoujo is going to be a closer race than Shounen was.
Funny though, my tastes have clearly changed over the last 6 years. The last Shounen poll has all titles I was reading and Shoujo only had one or two whereas this time I'm following a lot of the Shoujo titles and hardly any Shounen.
I voted for Akatsuki no Yona - I love early Skip Beat but lost a lot of interest in the Kuon arc, Natsume and Ouran are always up there and Akagami I like but it's too new to my reading list. In the end I just really like Yona.

Skip Beat is leading the best shoujo poll? WTF is going on.
With the exception of Glass Mask and Love So Life, I've actually read all of those manga. Skip Beat is definitely not the best, not even top 3.

Koi dano Ai dano needs more love. Although, I have to admit I did prefer the prequel...

My vote goes to Natsume. It's just so sweet and serene, and like someone else said, it stirs up all kinds of emotions in the reader apart from what one might be inclined to call the "typical shoujo fare" (namely romantic ones).
Akagami no Shirayuki-hime I dropped a few chapters in because of how completely generic and boring it was. Couldn't get into Basara simply because of how dated the art is (IMO it didn't age that well), but I do respect that it's a classic for the demographic and allegedly very good. Skip Beat! I've never read because just reading about it, I get the distinct impression that I wouldn't like it. 😔
Ouran Host Club is still a thing in 2015? Geez, it ended ages ago, and I dropped it even before that when literally everyone started falling in love with the protag. God, that was annoying. Aside from that, it was just really dragging and getting real old real fast (should have ended a lot sooner than it did).
Akatsuki no Yona is currently on my on-hold list. Despite all the wonderful things I've heard about it and despite being a fan of Kusanagi's other works, I just couldn't get into this one. I plan on going back to it eventually, maybe after checking out the anime first (which apparently was also pretty highly regarded). The only thing that really deters me is the harem tag. I can't stand harem/reverse harem series. Can anyone here tell me if the harem aspect is super obnoxious in this title?

Well FMA winning was a given...but, the real winner by remains OP after all...
Now, I don't read any Shoujo. So, I haven't read a single one from the list.
But, I get to hear Skip Beat!'s name here and there time to times. I heard about OHSHC as well.
But, counting the number, I gave the crown to Skip Beat!

Lol maybe I'm not into the mainstream but absolutely hate more than half those titles- Oresama Teacher gets my vote because well at least it was funny.
Never understood why people like Skip Beat so much.
