I just think they need to bring back Roy. Roy was awesome. He didn't deserve a cut. Same goes with Young Link; I personally prefer him to Toon Link.

New characters I'd like to see... um... Isaac from Golden Sun and maybe Toad or some grunt (Paratroopa or Lakitu!) from the Mario games. An Animal Crossing character would be interesting, although how they would fight... no idea.

TS: Why would characters from non-Nintendo consoles (like, oh, I dunno, almost everything on your list) be in a game for the Nintendo console alone? At least Sonic and Snake fit that criteria.

Cuz since Nintendo already introduced third parties, people are gonna wanta see them branch out and get way more third party characters, even if they havent been in a game on a Nintendo console. And I'm one of those people. Oh, I also think it'd be cool to have Sephiroth from FFVII in a SSB game.

That would be cool. But I wonder how the ESRB would see that? Would they give it an M rating cuz of the sheer amount of blood or would they stick to T cuz of how comical it is. Little Mac from Punch out would be cool.

The Rabbids from Rayman would be interesting but considering every game they were in except the first sucked (and the characters are made by a french third party company) I doubt it.

In any case I imagine their next innovation should be more significant than adding new characters. There are already more characters than most people would care to learn after all. Adding the single player feature w/ a full storyline really did spice things up nicely for brawl.

Don't expect many more third party characters.

First of all, Snake was the only third party one, considering nintendo has all the rights to Sonic now.

Second of all, the creator of Metal Gear Solid supposedly begged the director of SSBB to put in Solid Snake, quite a while ago as well.

I don't think nintendo is willing to try and work out things with other companies to put in characters that aren't their own on a frequent basis.

With that note:

So, let me lay some information on you.

Master Chief, Dante, Cloud, and Kratos will never be in a SSB game. Ever.

Master Chief is an intellectual property completely owned by Microsoft, Nintendo's competitor. The same goes for Kratos, although, instead of Microsoft, he's owned completely by Sony.

Dante is owned by Capcom. Yes, Capcom has games out on Nintendo consoles, but Dante will never appear on the Wii. The closest you can get is his apperence in the Capcom Card Fighters DS game.

Cloud is owned by Square-Enix, and considering how pissed Nintendo was that Square-Enix (Squaresoft, back then) decided to put Final Fantasy VII (the game he appears in, I want to add) on Playstation, instead of the Nintendo 64, seems to mean that Cloud will never appear on a Nintendo system, either.

Since then Final Fantasy games have been released on Nintendo systems, yes, however, Cloud's next apperence is the forthcoming Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, a Sony PSP game. Still, this is closer than Kratos and Master Chief will ever get. Not as close as Dante, though.

Either way, before you criticize others for their outlandish choices to the topic, make sure yours aren't just as outlandish, because it makes you nothing but a hypocrite, and pisses other people off, including myself.

This is the second time I've had to warn you for criticizing others in this fashion, don't make there be a third time.

Also, Nintendo doesn't have any rights to Sonic the Hedgehog. He is still, and always will be, owned by Sega. Sega let Nintendo use him, just like Hideo Kojima allowed for Snake to be used.

Realistically speaking, the only characters Nintendo can use without paying a bunch of fees are first party characters, or third party characters that have only appeared in Nintendo games (including ports to other consoles).

With that in mind, I would love to see Phoenix Wright appear in a SSB game, I think that might be fun.
