Conker is the correct spelling for the squirrel in question. I'd like to say he's a possibility, but that's not true. Microsoft acquired Rare, so Conker is now a first party possession of Microsoft, just like Master chief.

It happened a long time ago. Around the release of gamecube/xbox/ps2.
Since Donkey Kong is a property of Nintendo, Rare had simply borrowed the character from nintendo for the DK Country games and DK 64, so DK will always be with Nintendo.
And the conquer/conker thing is probably because both are real words, and conquer is used more often.

I stoped playing video game nearly the same time gamecube was released so I am a little out of date, but without rare nintendo lost a lot of strengh since the graphics those guys make are always awesome... a good thing for nintendo to do would be join forces with sega...
Who I would like to see also would be the guys from Battle Toads, I don't remember who have the rights on those guys, but it would be a lot of fun.

Yeah, but Megaman is... Megaman. Besides, SSB has had characters with similar movesets for ages. Giving Megaman some Samus-like lasers (among other things) wouldn't be too unusual. They could put Zero in there, too.

I would like to see...
Waluigi from Mario(after getting Wario, he works)
Tails from Sonic (maybe having him fly like Pit)
Knuckles from Sonic (who wouldn't want an echidna like him?)
Shadow from Sonic (he'd probably be better than Sonic... in terms of game play, of course)
More Pokemon? (haha. but Pokemon Trainer is so awesome! ^_^)
Those are the realistic ones. Can't really think of any others, for now...

I really need to get me updated in those matters... If they make a console together I would like to see the 6 buttons on top controller again, I loved my Mega Drive because of that...
Looking at the Chrono Trigger idea I though of Robo, also Magus would be a nice secret character... I don't know about you guys, but I would like not to see any more pokemon, although an Unknown Team (like the Poligon Team on the N64) would be nice... I think they should add Boo or Baby Bowser. It'd be funny if they made Mii's able to take on the skills of certain characters and instead of having link, you'll have a link clone but instead it's a Mii. 😛

I so wish they would include battle toads, but hey that was a Rare game too, so I guess the property rights to BattleToads belong to Microsoft now lol.
