Now only on 19, I think I will be reading tsubasa too so I can understand some of the cross stuff, like the water stuf and what Sakura sayd in the later chapters.

I read both and I guess it's really better this way.besides it's the best if you know all other series by CLAMP since there are MANY of the former characters(and it's great to see them in action again)

Clamp tends to brings characters from other mangas into their current mangas. X/1999 alone has a few characters from Tokyo Babylon, and a few characters from Clamp School Detectives. It was quite funny to realize the 3 grown up guys who appeared later in X/1999 were the 3 elementary boys from Clamp School Detectives.
In a way it's good for fans who like these characters. They get to see these characters again, albeit in another settings. Although personally, I wasn't happy that I had to find out the endign of Tokyo Babylon only if I read X/1999. I guess I should be happy that they included TB ending in X/1999 instead of leaving me keep on guessing.

Tokyo Babylo ends as it is,they are like 6 years between that end the beginning of X/1999(or so)so the "real" end was something CLAMP propably thought of later.besides X/1999 isn't finished yet, it's just that nobody knows when it will end 🤣 well that's a bit off topic now...

Yeah I haven't read X/1999 or Tokyo Babylon ._.
I tried X/1999 for Kamui (because he's absolutly delicious in Tsubasa) but I couldn't find the 2nd chapter...
It is fun seeing old characters again, and hints on the crossover between xxxHolic and TRC.
Like when Maru was hitting the butterfly carpet with Fye's staff I freaked out xD. (anime...)

The butterflies were moving on the carpet and maru was trying to get 'em xD.
That's another thing I love about xxxHolic, their theme is butterflies. I ADORE butterflies (not enough to actually capture them and keep them...cuz that's a little loony.), and it's nice to find more butterfly mangas out there =)

By the way... in the anime (xxxHolic that is) there was no cross... Maru and Moru was hitting the carpet with Fye's staff, but never in the anime appeared Fye giving it to Yuko.

Oh he appears in Tsubasa? That I got to see. I wonder if he's in his nice mood or angsty mood.
After I read Tokyo Babylon, then X/1999, than XXXHolic, I looked up other clamp's works and tried to fast read them so that at least I would recognized some characters if they made cameo appearances later in some future mangas.
I just thought of something, if the rumour is true about Clamp continuing X/1999 in the future. It will be fun if Yūko Ichihara made a cameo appearance in X/1999.

well that's true but the anime to XXXHolic appeared at the same time as the anime to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles where you see all this stuff so there's no need to show it in XXXHolic too...because if you don't watch/read tsubasa you won't get the thing with the staff but you should of course watch everything from CLAMP.it's obvious,think a bit like a businessman and you get it

I don't think she should/would appear in X/1999,she doesn't fit in the story as I rememeber Subaru,Hokuto and Seishiro were the only ones from another series who appeared there.And Tokyo Babylon was a bit like a prologue to the things yet to come in X,or at least it was presented like that after X/1999 was released

nah,I wouldn't like that and I believe CLAMP won't this...I'm pretty sure they know how the series should go on but they don't have time to draw it now
