There's something I really don't get in Bleach ever since I stopped reading it, and I don't know if it has been already answered in the manga later. Why do the shinigami worry about dying (except for Ichigo)? I mean, aren't they already dead? Last time I checked, I thought they became shinigami after passing some school in the afterlife. And how can they die? Again in death? To where?

they didnt go to the shingami world by dieing, They were born there(guessing)

i suppose since soul society is a form of after life, dying again would mean complete anihilition of existance.

What about the parrot that died? He became his true self in the afterlife. If a Shinigami dies then they are gone for good I guess. Fading into nothingness.. Like in DB...

I think it's a cycle. When you die in the Shinigami world, you're reborn in the human world, unless something absorbs your soul (Like what hollows, Bount, and Arrancar do). So if you're killed, you're not able to continue fighting because you've been reborn and lost your memory.

Evidence for this is discussion in soul society over maintaining balance of souls between the worlds.

I heard somewhere that your body dissolves into spirit particles and becomes part of soul society. This only happens to shinigami. Regular souls are reborn back on earth.

When the Shinigami die, they are reincarnated in the human world.

Rukia explained to Ichigo that there was a constant flow of souls between our world and soul society, and if I remember correctly, that was the main reason why shinigami hunted hollows, to let them go to soul society helping this flow of souls.

Because if the balance of souls between soul society and our world was broken, there would be a huge cosmic catastrophe.

I have been wondering that too.

And another one, why does Ichigo's dad mourn the dead of his wife, when he knows that she is in soul society?

If Ichigo is really sad about the dead of his mom, why don't he just look for her?

I have only one answer, but I fear saying it because Dr. Love will get mad. 😛

ya have they ever said what happened to a soul that was eaten by a hollow. I thought that once eaten you become a hollow you self or did i just dream that up.

All answers are in the other threads, except for those that mangaka did not give.
I don't even remember how many times we went trough that souls and spirit particles matter.
