Don't even talk about same sex marriages.. omfg.. its just wrong in all ways possible... seriously.. bible contradicts it.. and so does nature.. People weren't born divided with one penis for males and one vagina for females just so that two fucking dicks can clash together once in a while
How narrow minded of you. Lust is the basic principle here. Either it is your hand or another person of the same sex, it's all lust.

bible contradicts it Does it? You can't take everything the bible says literally because it is written by humans.
example: characteristics of God in old testament: angry, jealous, cruel.
characteristics of God ~1500 years later in new testament: loving, forgiving, kind.
Either God changed, or humans' perception of God changed, which seems to give God conflicting personalities.

Why not? Here's a thought: Men on the whole have much larger sex drives than women (with exceptions); testosterone makes people horny and men have a lot more of it. so wouldn't it make since to pair-up the horny people? In that way, straight couples are rather incompatible.

Having read these posts left me so depressed, I doubt you guys could even imagine.
I've always followed one approach to homosexuality, which is, love comes in many forms: That same feeling you get when you see your patner of choice, Gay people get it as well, it's just that they can ONLY get those feelings from from certain people of the same gender. Those same feelings that you can't, as a straight person, get from the same gender.
How on earth can that be "wrong?" It's just preferance, attraction.
If you do not "approve" of their sexual liberation, and call it gross, wrong and get on top of your high horse and use GODS NAME and all of religion to back up your own disgusted and arrogant opinions, I feel so sorry for you.
Because you totally missed the point of Christianity.
Let people find love
Love is so hard to find, so fragile and mistreated.
There is nothing better than consential, fully aware, exploration of two people loving each other.
Who the hell cares if they have the same plumbing?

Ppfft. Lust, wanting to be intimate with another human being.
Pleeeeease stop right there with the prudish assumption that it is wrong, sinful, and that we are all meant to have sex just to squeeze out kids.
IF sex was just for pro-creation, it wouldn't feel as good as it does.
But that's just my opinion 🙂
If you think this society is over sexed and going to hell in a handbasket because everyone is perverted and corrupting children....your argument has nothing to do with homosexuality, because they are just doing what you would do with your straight patner. Just with different ways of getting off.
And I am REALLY sorry but you can't lump together paedophilia and beastiality in the same group as homosexuality. That's just ignorant. 😲

I don't support same sex marriage only because I don't support marriage at all. People are putting too high a premium on it.
that's what i think for now...it may change over time..

Well, just on the "plumbing aspects" of love.
Saying that penises and vaginas are made to fit each other and are not to be used elsewise also means following: Oralsex, analsex, all different kinds of masturbation and everything else there is is also against the blueprint of the human body. Thats not even including the fetishes.
Here's a different way to implement the theorie that our bodies were created for specific purposes.
Girls should start having children with 14. If god didn't want 14 year olds to have children he wouldn't make them fertile.
Anyway, my point is, we have mentally surpassed our bodies. Sure, when we are hungry we eat, when we are thirsty we have to sleep and when we are tired we have to sleep. But we have also managed to control and redirect our body urges in certain directions.

In my country homosexual marriage Is allowed and it's no big deal (i.e. there are still lots of people in my country who don't like homosexuals but it's not the marriage thing they get fired up about).
No all that many homosexual couples marry anyway.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with homosexuality itself, they should be allowed to be married. They will never stop being gay, so are they allowed to be happily married or not?
The thing is history will look back on all the anti homosexual people now as they looked back on slavery supporters back then. Hmm.. the bible also supported slavery, does that make it right?

I my self have no problem with the church saying they will not allow homosexuals to marry. Thats there point of view but (i live in America) i do not believe we should say that they should not be able to marry as far as the government is concerned it is there right as a human being.

i voted for yes because there is not a choice the says dont know or both....because i personally think that we should respect people's decision, if they choose to marriage even they're the same gender than let them be, since no one has the rights to stop someone from loving another...right?

i would think that if someone doesn't know which one to choose, then they would not vote for neither at all....i believe this issue had passed the gate of morality already...there's also the religious problem, mainly christianity and catholics, i think, that'd have to be concern about the teaching of the bible, or whatever...pass that would be about the environment...imagine, if a same sex couple adopted a kid, there're chances that society might shun him/her out because of his/her adopted parents.....apart from that, as long as they don't have PDA, it's cool with me 😎
Yes i do. reason...hmm
We make our own individual choices, someone shouldn't be there stopping us. Love is love, its not about sex, age, race, religion...ect. And if someone is trying to make it that way i wouldn't wanna fall in love. But then again..... if someone is not able to be with someone else who is the same sex.... then... its a no 🙂

ah. interesting topic. so many responses. aaahhh
but again, i think that we should treat others with respect
someone said: "as long as it directly doesn't affect me, why should i care?"
i wholeheartedly agree with this. although i don't believe homosexuality to be correct... i still shouldn't impinge on others' rights by telling them how to act. if they wanted to be unified in some way similar to marriage, hey, give them that right. they can be married... and it still wouldn't affect me.
now, earlier in the topic regarding ellen being gay, does your opinion of someone truly change when you find out they're gay? sorry, but that does seem kind of narrowminded. you can rank your friends according to their beliefs all you want, but to suddenly disregard everything else you did like about them because of a single fact... meh, not cool.
but then again, that's fine, i suppose. it's your choice whether or not you wish to judge your friends that way or not.
