dont bother with the manga....see the anime movie of it..not the best of stories but well not bad either

The anime was the original concept. The manga was released before the anime aired for promotional purposes.

I absolutely love Summer Wars. Wonderful characters, creativity and a perfectly and strongly conveyed theme. My only unsatisfied comment would be the lack of depth in the romance, though it's not really a big part of the plot anyway.

I've seen the movie, haven't read the manga other than part of the first chapter, I think. The story (in both the anime and manga) starts out kinda slow, so I recommend giving it a chance even if you find it uninteresting at first.
