I found this interesting but I have an issue with this poll.. I mean, it's good for general information, but because it depends on something such as age also matters on what the voter's age is..

For example I noticed someone said that they prefer older than themselves because "The themes are by far more interesting than those of tales that revolve around young adults" except I'm in the age range where I technically am just an adult rather than a young adult now.. Although of course that also depends on who you're asking.

Essentially what I'm saying is you might prefer ones where the main characters are younger but you could be 50 and younger than you could be any where from toddlers to people who are middle aged and the themes would range greatly because of that.

Any how, personally I was kind of in between "No preference" and "I don't even notice their ages..." because to be frank sometimes the art is just done so poorly or in the case of anime changed from the manga so much that they don't match the age they're suppose to be. I mean, there's suddenly lolis who are in their twenties or forties and there's, well.. Very 'mature' looking women who are in middle school or younger.. I suppose things like that occur in reality also, but the way you see it (well, depends which period the manga was done I suppose) in manga you'd thing it'd be weird if that didn't happen in every classroom in every school in the world..

In short, No preference/I don't notice.

it doesnt really matter to me.. i read a variety of stuff.. some shoujo.. some not.. but whatever.. i gues its also fine that they are the same age as me.. making the story a little closer to my reality 🙂
