I recently beat Resident Evil 4 and although it was an amazing game it just didn't feel all that scary. Can anyone recommend some scary games? Doesn't matter which system so long as it can scare a person into not sleeping with the lights off for days.

Why don't you try Fatal Frame series or Silent Hill series? RE can not compare with them imo.

RE4 wasent scary at all, it wasent even like any of the other Resident evil games.

you could try to import a scary game from Japan, couse most times when we make or get a game here in the us it does'nt compare to the origanal or even to the worst game from there

F.E.A.R. - IMO kina slow paced but still good ^.^
RE series - Best Horror series IMO
Silent Hill series - .... (Kinda bores me lol)

Haunting Ground, Fatal Frame series, Rule of Rose, Resident Evil series, Kuon, Silent Hill series, Obscure, Doom 3, FEAR, Siren...ugh that's all I can think of right now while looking at my own games.

Definitely Fatal Frame, I remember when I first played it I was breaking out in a cold sweat and my hair was standing on ends 🤣 best played when your alone in the room at night with no lights...

So I am the only one here who has tasted fear from the long tentacles of the cthulhu...?

Ok, other than that, I would say the System shock series was pretty scary for it's time. Something about being completely alone (Not even many enemies) on a giant space station...

My main problem with other horror games are the crappy camera angles, and clunky controls.
