Have you ever lost conciousness - or in other words fainted - in the past? Be it by stress/dizziness/lack of nutrition or hard blow to the head.

Personally, it never happened to me, even though one time (when I was in 7th-8th grade) some big wooden stick fell on my head. 🤣 I felt light-headed for a few seconds, but I managed to stay conscious.

I blacked out some times, like blood pressure suddenly going down. Once I fell down, like body didn't really respond, next thing I knew was I was lying in the floor, I was conscious though.

Why didn't you make a poll, Doc?

A wooden stick? Aww...

Never although many times I've felt like I'm about to faint...I hate the feeling...

Anyway, this reminds me of something someone told me recently...This someone's acquaintance fainted and hit her head...Had a big cut on her forehead and was bleeding diffusely... 🤢 I'm wondering if others had similar experiences?

No, I've only felt lightheaded a couple of times.

But one of my teacher said he did. He was staring at his brother with a mean look just for fun. And then he tried to break a wooden board on his head like he did countless times before. However, he was wearing a cap, so the board hit the button thingy at the top and knocked him out. I just find it hilarious how he was trying to intimidate someone and ended up knocking himself out.

I've fainted three times.

#1 - When I was about 6, I tried to open a walnut shell with a fork (couldn't find the nut crackers) and stabbed myself in the thumb. My brother took me into the bathroom & got a bandaid on my thumb. One minute I was standing in the hall looking at my thumb, and the next minute I was lying on the floor, looking at the ceiling. I don't remember hitting my head or anything, I just thought "that was weird" and went on with the day.

#2 - In high school I got the flu, and walking back from the bathroom I fainted (and whacked the backs of my hands on the bookshelves, ouch). Woke up within seconds, crawled into bed, and went on being sick with the flu.

#3 - About 5-6 years ago, I was kneeling down working in the yard on a hot day, stood up, grabbed onto a tree branch because I was feeling light-headed, and woke up on the ground a few seconds later. 🤢 Apparently I fell just like a tree, straight backwards, and I ended up with a minor concussion (and felt pretty lousy for the rest of the day).

I've felt faint and/or had my field of vision black out while I remained conscious many, many times, probably due to low blood pressure and mild dehydration.
