i would destroy it because it is too dangerous to keep. if i hide then i might be tempted to use so that is a bad idea. 🙂

I'd ignore it. Even if I get angry at people, I don't think I could ever knowingly kill anyone. I don't think the Death Note can be destroyed, so there wouldn't be any use in trying.
