Even though I picked destroy it, I'm having second thoughts, what if one day some evil dictator like Hitler came around and then that death note would come in so handy...
but then, once i've killed him, I'm afraid of ending up killing another evildoer, and then another and another until i'm numbed by the thought of killing others...and that's pretty much what death note was all about anyway, that once you have the ability to murder, the second time it gets easier.

Destroy is seriously the best option.

if you blackmailed people, you'd probably run into a whole world of trouble, fbi, investigations, police will be on your case, we all can't be like Light and be able to wheedle our ways out of trouble.
Trading it would be stupid, ignoring it would bring it to someone else's hands perhaps someone worse than yourself, giving is the same as ignoring it, wrong clutches.

the deathnote cannot make impossible things happen, eg. a person in prison in japan cannot die by jumping off the Eiffel tower in 5 minutes. They would just die or a heartattack.

test it, then test it some more...become corrupt and probably end up in jail, although I highly dought any real detective on this planet will consider the possabilty of a "deathnote's" existance to be honest 🤣 Or telepathic murder.

I believe in letting people do as they wish, as do I myself. Sometimes, of course, what I wish to do is kill them and they do not wish to die. This gives life interest.

If I wanted to kill someone, I would not use a "Death Note". It is not personal, and it is a cowardly way to do things. Because of this, the deaths of whatever the person wanted to kill would just become a game, rather than the murder that it is.

If I had a Death Note, I would probably study it.

Personally I would use the death note to extend my life time by putting my own death at a much later date than I could've ever imagined.
And after that I would use it to kill wanted serial murderers and other scum to clean up the society a little bit at least. And of course, I would have great fun communicating with my shinigami. I wonder which one I would get?
