What is a person?

You are given $600. I bring you to a room and tell you that for each thing you count as a person in the room, you give me $100. Within the room are:
-a human clone
- a gorilla who is trained to communicate through symbols, pictures and words
- an artificial computer intelligence
- a man in a vegetative state
How much do you give me? Why?
(note that a person and a human can be two different things)

$600, $100 each for the six people in the room.
I do have some concerns over the man in the vegitative state though. Even though I'd count him as a human, I might support his passing on depending on what he would think of his situation if he had een the observer, and whether or not his situation is curable.
There are times when you will miss what you never had. I wonder how you will find what you so desperately need.

First of all, I regard someone/something as a person, if it has a recognizable personality. As such you'd get 500$ from me, made up of 200$ for both you and me, 100 for the clone, 100$ for the gorilla and 100$ for the A.I. (if it is on a high level refer to BINA48)
The man in a vegetative state is, for as long as the state lasts not a person. Since vegetative states that last to long can destroy personalities, He even might've lost the personality that he had before.

300$
clone, you and me
a computer is a computer, however intelligent it is.
A man in a vegetative state isn't conscious anymore. Brain isn't working anymore. He's human though.
And a gorilla is... A gorilla, it should live with other gorilla and learn useful things for itself. Doesn't need to communicate with us, it'll just bring it to a circus or some other place. I'm not saying he's useless or that we must not care for it/love it but that it is not a person.
A clone is a living being with a working brain, feelings and consciousness of its own. It has its own free will and everything. And I assume you meant a human clone. Works for me.

ill give the money to the ones who can ask me for it so
100 for clone
100 for AI
100 for gorilla
100 for a whore to make the orgy were gonna have less awkward
$300.
$100 for myself, $100 for the clone and $100 for the AI. The clone and I free the gorilla, who then proceeds to rip off your arms and beat you to death with them for enslaving him. The gorilla then takes coma-dude back to his house, because he feels a strong bond with him and wishes to care for him. The clone and I carry the AI to a lab, where we install it and start building cyborgs. We take over the planet in under 6 months. Shortly after our reign begins, both myself and the clone are killed by the AI. Earth soon turns into a robot utopia, until the year 44,867, when aliens the size of galaxies use our solar system as target practice for their disintegration rays.

I think that from the ones you listed, I'd pick the clone and the man in a vegetative state. I don't think that a human clone would differ from "normal" humans in any way, so of course it's a person. The man in a vegetative state definitely is not a "thing" - although he's unconscious, he's still a person. And probably has a family that care about him. Do you stop being a person when you are asleep?
It's a bit more complicated with the artificial intelligence - is it just a more advanced computer, or can it feel emotions like a human (like, for example, robots from Pluto)?
But definitely not a gorilla. An animal is not a person.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

And you will murder someone one day, pika. If you're my daughter.
I'd give you nothing, considering you never specified we were actually in the room. Nor did you say what the clone was of. For all I know it could be a Pea plant.
Call me horrible, I don't really care, but none of those things really constitute a person to me.

Assuming we're looking in on the room from outside, I'd give you $100 if the clone was a human.
