Wear it everytime I go out. I have a huge collection. Current favorites are Chanel Chance, Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue, and Burberry Summer. All time favorite is Elizabeth Arden 5th Avenue. I just spray it once on my neck.

I occasionally use cologne, but usually only for special occasions or when I feel like making the extra effort and dressing sharp. I can't say I have a favourite scent but I typically use a limited edition axe lab scent for everyday use. It's better than their crappy bodysprays but it's still a bit cheap smelling compared to higher quality brands. I can't remember all the others, I had some stuff by swissarmy, lacoste, and tommy hilfiger.
For application, a single spray to the neck and to the wrist (rubbing them together) is enough for me. I believe that you shouldn't smell the scent unless you're within three feet or one meter of the person. Anything more is too overpowering and unpleasant. If you're concerned about it, get a trusted friend to check for you.
Concerning choosing scents: it depends on the person and how you want to present yourself. My girlfriend likes to use fun, fruity scents for everyday wear, but for a more formal event like an evening dinner date, she'll wear something more floral. For guys, I just avoid anything that smells too much of alcohol. It's a sign of cheapness and reduces the quality of the actual scent being presented.

Just a question, but how much do you put on, and how do you know how much is enough? Are there any kind of techniques on how to apply the right amount?
i don't wear perfume, so i don't know...but ussually i saw my frens on their neck and wrist and it smell quite ok &mild....
And how important is perfume in your daily life, anyways?
not important since i never bought any.....
And it would also be nice to state the perfume you use!
erkkk....i only use johnson baby lotion(lavender)...i wonder if dat counts
I mainly use body splash I get from Bath and Body Works. My favorite scents are sweet pea and mango mandarin. I do have a Harajuku Lovers "Love" fragrance that I occasionally use, though. When I spray, I'd just spray my neck usually.

I don't use perfume, ever. But I don't smell 'naturally good' either. In fact, I don't smell at all, good or bad. And that's the way I like it.
I really can't stand the smell of perfume. It makes me feel light-headed...can't even tolerate Eu-de-Cologne or bath oil. 😐
