Hello.
I know that romance composes about 80% or more of the "I'm looking for" threads, but this specific theme i could not find.

I'm looking for manga/manhwa AND anime that has the following characteristics:

Main lead (preferibly male) has hidden powers (and hopefully overwhelming) AND he is concious of it, meets female lead and eventually develops into romance.

I'm not looking for things a la Naruto, where main lead has powers but he doesn't know he has them or his powers awakes with rage and whatnot, I'm looking for things like "Chrome shelled Regios" where main lead has power, he knows his power but he hides it for X reason. Regios has romance (the anime at least) is more like a harem but that is ok too. I don't mind if he powers up or gain more power with rage, as long as he knows his "base" power at least. Another example would be Negima (Negi knows his power but hides it, and eventually trains and powers up, blah blah) and has romance (weak maybe but it is there).

I know there is a tag for "Hidden power" or something like that, but searching with tags can't search by genre (romance) and viceversa. ):

So, that's what i'm looking for. Restrictions: No yaoi,shoujo ai please. Harems are always welcome. Shoujo is ok as long it's the male the powerful one.

You could try Rurouni Kenshin.

It isn't like he has some seal or something that hides his power, but he's really strong and an infamously skilled fighter, and he pretends not to be unless he's forced into a serious situation.

Yeah, i'm not expecting seals or anything like that, more like the contrary, the hides for his own volition, just like Kenshin.

Kara no Shounen, i'll check it. The problem i have with one-shots is....they are too short XD

Togari, hmmm is there any romance there? The romance genre is not listed but it wouldn't be the first time a manga with the genre has it not listed.

What i am looking for with power doesn't necessarily mean supernatural powers, can be normal like extreme inteligence (ex. Leoluch) or martial arts (ex. Miu from Kenichi, if she were man and the main lead, lol!!).

It's a book, not a manga, but did you read Jumper? I think it fits your description.
There's also a movie based on it, but I think it's quite bad so I don't recommend it...

For Togari, the female lead seems to feel something for the male lead, and she's the one who sometimes brings back his humanity with kindness. I'm not sure if that ever develops into romance or just stays a close bond. *only at volume 3 at the moment*

I went through my lists and found more recommendations:

Annarasumanara

A part in Olimpos, though she's not the female lead (there is none), and it ends in tragedy.

Oh! I completely forgot about Baccano! (anime)! Definitely Baccano, with the lead characters and other couples.

Durarara!! (anime) also counts. ^^

Cheese in the Trap might also work...the guy is very mysterious and seems to have influential powers...*cough*blackmail*cough*

The World God Only Knows - the power to "see the ending"! Sorta like what Lelouch would be if he plotted to woo girls instead of revolutionize the world.

Noblesse - definitely a lot of characters with conscious hidden powers, but there are only hints of romance so far...

Hmm, with Baccano, it's probably because the romance is sorta mixed in with the action...or something like that. But the romance parts are really cute/sweet/touching when they happen. X3 There are actually a lot of couples in the series.

Unfortunately, the scanlations for Cheese in the Trap are permanently stopped because the creator requested so, starting with chapter 25 on. But there's a forum that summarizes the latest chapters, so you can read that while viewing the originals in Korean, if you find that you like it enough. ^^; The forum is here.
