Which japanese songs/anime songs are the hardest to follow?
Like when you want to sing along, but the lyrics is too hard, or the pace is too quick.
And, do you look up the lyrics of the songs ones you like?
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

If I had a fantasy self, it'd be a tentacle monster.
This obviously belongs in the 'music' section.
Edit: And the fastest song is with no doubt Lucky Star's OP. 🤣

I look it up.
Wouldn't get it.
Laugh at the poor engrish.
But sing along anyway.
I like to think I'm tone-deaf so the chances of being off-key are high.

Yeah, I do look up the lyrics to the songs I like. Some of them are too quick though (ex. Shizuka from GTO). The ones that involve a little rap or really high/low pitches prove to be the biggest problem to me.
I had so much trouble trying to listen to Red Fraction. What I thought was "Sweet majestic" turned out to be "Sick with justice," and some words don't even sound like English. After a while, I just gave up and looked up the lyrics everytime I want to sing that song.

Only japanese songs?
I can't speak japanese so I can't sing along with any of them.
I don't care about lyrics anyway.
Musically, most japanese music is very easy to follow.

I love that song XD
maybe some of the Naruto and Bleach ones...Go by Flow and Asterick by Orange Range they're the latest ones I heard 🤣
Definitely Asterisk by Orange Range. They sing so fast that they skip half the syllables. 🤣
Tried singing along and all I could get were the slow parts.... 🙄

I quit trying to sing along to songs a looong time ago. Now the most I do is hum the song, because I know the lyrics I -think- I hear are completely screwed up.
I never cared about lyrics in Japanese songs anyway- what's the point if the most you can find is a butchered translation that will most certainly catch nothing from the original feeling of the song?

Yeah. Imagine that I woke up today, and thought "damn, that thread belongs to music... >.<"
Anyways. I agree with lucky star.
Also, there's School Rumble - Onna no Ko Otoko no Ko.
I couldn't get those first lines at first... At all~.~ I thought it was humming...

At least to get some of the meaning...

I listen to music for the music more than for the lyrics. Even with a lot of english music as long as the vocals flow well with the music I don't really care what they are saying.
That said sometimes lyrics can be so bad they can ruin the coolest music no matter how good a voice the singer has.
A Petaluma man showed his gal a trick
He took a needle full of cocaine and shot it in his prick
They say he got the gangrene the pain it wouldn't stop
And when he took a hot bath that night his pecker floated to the top

Well, obviously rap songs..or any fast songs 🙄
As someone already said, Asterisk by Orange Range is one, and more recently for me - Nobody Knows by Suga Shikao...it just gets fast outta nowhere @_@
Over time you get used to it and eventually you'll be able to follow along, especially when you know the words...and their meanings xD (though I still can't follow asterisk 🤢 )
Also, how is the Lucky Star OP fast? o.O
