it doesnt have to be "I wish I had one", "..." can be replaced with anything:
e.g.:
"No, I wish whores where cheaper"
"No, I wish the wouldnt get on my nerves"
"No, I wish everyone else would die"

I don't think valentine day is to be spent with those significant others. I mean you can also have fun with your friends or even family.
Do not have one right now but I don't see it as something sad.
All in all, I agree with you name-undecided. Going to college right now and don't feel like having one cause it's just going to disturb my study ;p
