After your death, what should your spouse do?

Assume you already have the love of your life as your spouse/partner, then you suddenly die at young age.
Will you be willing to let them love and have relationships with another?
My answer is yes, though it's hard since they would probably forget me as time goes by.
But I'm dead so there's nothing wrong with it. or is it?
Well that depends on what comes after death 🤣

Please explain what you mean by "willing to let them".
- You are dead, therefore not much you can allow or deny
- You make it sound like you "own" the other person and actually have a say over what he/she can or cannot do/feel.
- If you cannot find it in yourself to accept your partner falling in love with someone else (give love, don't take), then it's probably for the better the relationship ends. (not saying give up without a fight, but simple trust goes a long way and what's not to be is not to be).
It's a cruel thing to deny someone else a happy life just because of your selfish needs.
PS: If the love was true, I'd think that the other party either will never forget it (even after moving on), or will "stay true" for his/her own reasons to that love... Now wouldn't that be much better than selfishly denying someone else the option.

I believe everybody knows what the right answer is.
Humans are egoistic creatures, that's the undeniable truth. Just think about it, even the most non-egoistical person will have a hard time accepting something like this.
It be true; it's cruel to deny them their freedom and that is wrong.
But that doesn't mean the selfishness does not exist.
Why not let him have love another person? As long as I would still hold some place in his heart, even if I am to share it with somebody else, that's fine. It's understandable because I'm already dead. My soul would be troubled if there's no one loving my husband and taking care of him. It would be downright selfish to not let him have another go in marriage.

No... We will die together... > 😀
Just keeeding.
Just let them move on in the future~ I'd be dead, why would I care? But if I became a ghost, I'd harass him for fun.

If I would I know I was to die, I would make my parter promise me thet he would have another shot at love. I would want him to have another shot at happiness.

Well, yes, but let's nip this in the bud now. This particular brand of selfishness would require a totally insecure, isolated nimrod with an entitlement complex to back it.
Oh, wait, we're on a website which caters to pirating otaku. My bad, there should be spades of those hanging around, it's just a matter of time before someone comes out of the woodwork. So I guess like all good women, my future spouse will have to throw herself onto the funeral pyre.

Whatever the hell they want to do is their choice once I'm gone. I'd be a real dick to hold them back from enjoying the rest of their life.

Put a 'nother log on th' fire~♪
Ohh... whatnot. You expect someone to live out the better half of their life just because you keeled over? Gee... that's not even selfish. That's a death sentence.

You died. She didn't. You've 'parted'. Move on.
Besides, it makes for better P3 Yukari X Junpei fanfics, particularly when their respective lovers return from.... where ever it is they went. squeee

Uhh... no, I don't.
And now seeing how the polls and replies turn out, this is quite a stupid thread isn't it

Ah. My words were directed to you, 'the topic starter posing the question' rather than you yourself - being that you've already expressed your opinion. Still, rather sloppy of me, sorry.
Yukari's annoying in P3, but grew on me in the epilogue. If only because she goes borderline yandere.
I would tell her to not be sad in my dying breath, but she would never get over me.
Ahh, what a wonderful ending.
