Right to left.
At times I forget
I am reading manhwa
and wonder what the hell
is happening.Same here. XD
Yay, I'm not the only one... XD
haha, that actually happened to me today XD
Overall i prefer to just read it in the direction it was originally published in. But i do tend to get mixed up if I read a ton a manga then switch to manhwa, or vice versa.

I really do prefer reading right to left. I've gotten used to it so much that everytime I do comic strips for homework or projects, I draw them from right to left and then just leave a note saying that it's read that way. But yeah, I think if all comics are like that (not just manga), I'd be more interested with reading them. I know that sounds very shallow, but that's how the way things go for me.
P.S. I've never read Western comics.

I don't read comics other than manga and whenever I read manhwa I get several pages into each chapter and become thoroughly confused before I remember to read left to right. Even though I'm English so used to reading left to right I would, if given the choice, keep/draw manga right to left out of habit more than anything.
Novels, western or Japanese, needs to be left to right though.
The pen is mightier than the sword...and considerably easier to write with.

I purposely did not put any kind of "Don't care" choice
"either way" is not the same with "don't care" ^_^
This is to force you to choose which you would prefer...polls are useless with middle ground options...
There are people (like me) who honestly have no preference. 😐
I can read either way equally well and really simply don't care which way I'm reading. (I can read the newspaper upside down while someone else is reading it, too...) I don't usually pay much attention to whether the thing I'm reading is manhwa or manga, so if I read the first page & it doesn't make sense, I just read it the other way...there have been a few whose first pages don't make much sense either way, though. 🤣

Hmm well I'm echoing a lot of people but I prefer right to left now just because I'm used to it. Whenever i start a series that's left to right, i have to readjust to it, even if it doesn't take long, and then i have to readjust for right to left again afterwords.
If i were to write a comic/manga, the direction would probably use would depend on the target audience i'm planning to write for.

There really should be a third "whatever, as long as it's consistant"/"who gives a F~" option. I read a lot of american comics & manhwa which are of course left-to-right, and I read a lot of manga which is usually/natively right-to-left. I'm really quite indifferent to the direction. The only thing that annoys me is when I go from reading a manhwa to a manga or vice-versa & don't realize until the 3rd or 4th page that I've been reading it the wrong way. :-\
As tofuqueen said, some of us truly have no preference.
...polls are useless with middle ground options..
Incorrect. If you want a truly accurate impression of the public's opinion, then you need to include those who have no preference between the two. Without such an option, you have no idea if the people who didn't participate simply didn't notice the poll/were too busy to bother, or if they abstained because of a lack of a proper option.
Trying to force those of us who truly don't have a preference to choose is also very inaccurate. we either will simply ignore the poll, or toss a coin to pick one.
Seriously, do you really think that there's a ''correct" direction?? It makes no practical difference one way or the other. The only time it makes a difference is if you change it from it's original direction, because that can cause other problems.
Frankly, most of the time I don't even notice what direction I'm reading from.
I just start reading where the cover is located.
And if I'm reading scans, what ever is closest to the top is where I start.

If you don't really have a preference then simply don't vote. It's a lot like voting for a president. You either choose A or B or don't vote...there is no 'either way'.
We already know most are gonna say they don't care, so the poll's for people who do.

Is there a "I don't care either way, because it's the content that matters" option? Right to left, left to right, it's cool just having an open-minded way to reading them whichever it is. If I could choose, I'd let the authors choose, if that makes any sense.
And blakraven, it is true that in a presidential vote you can only pick A or B, but in a presidential poll. that is not always the case. 😉

Either one works for me. If I did draw something it would be in left to right since my target audience would be more accustomed to it.
I myself prefer reading right to left and choose that option since I would want to draw it that way but wouldn't.

Right to left for Manga, left to right for novels (though only for those in English). I'm too used to reading right to left. When the manga is changed to left to right I lose myself trying to adjust.
There may have been a day when left to right was king for me, but that day has long since past with the amount of manga I've gone through.

Hmm. lambchopsil is right, I bet a lot of people (read: weaboos) will end up picking R2L for no real reason other than their obsession.
Personally I started out reading Chinese comics (manhua) right to left when I was little, but now I've had to learn to adjust. After getting used to reading manga, I picked up a Marvel comic book and was extremely confuzzled as I accidentally attempted to read the comic in the correct left-to-right order for the pages, but right-to-left for the panels 🤢
