I think this kind of theme is extremely rare, especially in shoujo, and probably for obvious reasons. The only ones I can think of right now are:

Ciel - The Last Autumn Story
Dear Friends
Cotton, the title story.

Both of those are real words separately, you can't guess what they mean compounded? Are you incapable of critical thought?

Hm, Clover (Clamp) maybe, though it's shown completely in flashbacks.

Aqua (and its sequel Aria) also roughly fits, though Aria was published in a shounen magazine.

From what I remember, Himitsu no Kaidan and its sequel has some of this.

Hana to Rakurai is probably the most like Tomodachi no Hanashi in terms of style, but it's more like a strong friendship than queerplatonic.

No shit they are real words separate, but combined it's nonsense. It doesn't matter if you are straight/gay/whatever tumblr came up with today, if you aren't in a romantic relationship then it's platonic. Adding words to it doesn't change anything.
