it was a good ending for itachi. kishi made sure that all loose ends regarding itachi's life and purpose was tied. dedicated a few chapters to it, too. so i do think that that's truly the end of it. As much as i love Itachi, I think he's dead... permanently.

Sadly Itachi is not among the living anymore, and i hope that soon more are to follow his lead - no need to start pointing ppl-.
Kishimoto has done a real good work with his plot till far and he doesn't give us false hopes. I don't know how that idea re-candled but some1 already said it " his health was failing some time now" and the way story went was good. Kishimoto knows how to handle his characters and keep the mood from his readers in a peak. We may have loved or hated some characters but they didn't simply vanished or died a stupid death...

I did voted Itachi has to live but I guess its like Dumbledore-must-die-for -Harry-to-win twist in the plot.. Sorry for comparing this with Harry Potter but regardless of medium, all hero involving plots do have some cliches and currently, this is a type that is used I think....

The guy is dead. And it is done for the sake of the plot! If he is revived at this point, that would be an insult to all the other antagonists that have died and plus it would kill the effect of Itachi's self sacrifice.

itachi won't be coming back but orochimaru will be. my guess for the final boss is going to be either him, sasuke or madara. not so much with madara though. if not in those three then some other that is still not introduced. well, my guess could be wrong though

Itachi comes back to face Danzo. Even he is surprised that Itachi is right in front of him. It's kinda stretched, because I saw Itachi's usual transportation of crows come up FROM Sasuke's body. If you look really closely, the black of the crows and coming from Sasuke's black pants.
It's really pathetic that Masashi is bringing Itachi back...for real. 😔 If it's some way to get the plot more interesting, he has to stop doing that! Seriously, just end the series short and sweet! Killing people and bringing them back is just a waste of drama and great climax of a wonderfully written plot!
I bet that he was wanting Itachi to be an eternal part of Sasuke since it is technically Itachi's eye power in Sasuke now...THAT IS SO MARY-SUE. Sasuke needs to stop being a perfect mary-sue and actually get hurt once. >:-(
So my guess is that Itachi is still alive in a form that can live in Sasuke...yea, try to interpret that in any way you want. 😃
