Though I haven't played them yet, the soundtracks for Metal Gear Solid 3 & 4 sound bloody amazing, even on their own.

I'm a huge fan of the 8-bit electronic genre (not sure if that's how you call it) of music in games, both the ones that really help enhance the game and the ones that are really good alone too.

So music from Pokemon GBA/DS, Zelda, Cave Story, Yume Nikki (that really changes the mood of the game =_____="), The Underside, Castlevania, etc... those are awesome~ 🙂

Kingdom Hearts was good, and I liked The World Ends With You as well... 🙂

DJ Hero's soundtrack is pretty awesome, especially when you realize that world-famous DJs contributed to it...

Loved all of Shin Megami Tensei's Nocturne and DDS. Also some of Suikoden 5's tracks and Shadow Hearts

PS3's Flower has an amazing soundtrack. I also tried the Split/Second demo, and that had a pretty kickin' beat as well.

Any megaten soundtrack is great. Shoji Meguro is my hero.

Doing nothing is very hard to do. You never know when you're done.

Kingdom Hearts, The World Ends with You, Final Fantasy series are all my favorite video game soundtracks.

La corda d'oro and some of the japanese ones are good as well, but I don't really play far since I don't understand the language.

I'm absolutely in love with Daisuke Ishiwatari's work done with the Guilty Gear games and BlazBlue series OSTs. The intricate guitar work is just amazing.

It's not a surprise that I also enjoyed the Final Fantasy XIII OST. It was a great mix of soothing, nostalgic, and intense tracks.

Now, it may come as a small surprise to note how good the OST was to the Pokemon Black and White series. It was quite good considering it was music from a DSi game. xD

I'll also mention that I enjoyed OSTs for The World Ends with You, The Demon Sword: Muramasa, Ookami, Nobuo Uematsu's works (FF series mostrly), and Kingdom Hearts. All very good ones indeed.

The reason I started playing Metal Gear Solid was due to its soundtrack. Beautiful, beautiful stuff. Really immerses you into a story that would otherwise seem somewhat ridiculous. Soundtrack just sells it.
