I am going against the grain and saying that I don't really care for his work in either Linkin Park or Fort Minor. He doesn't have the same flow chops as say, a Gangstarr or Mos Def.

Shinoda is pretty good. I like the work he helped do for the Breaking The Habit anime music video LP had made with Studio 4°C.

I havn't really heard anything by Fort Minor, as I am not as big into rap (which is odd considering LP raps alot in their stuff).

If you like the rap vocals in Linkin Park, I'm pretty sure you'll like Fort Minor. I've only heard a few of his songs, but what I've heard is really awesome.

sigh Gangstarr: Guru = legendary MC, DJ premier = legendary producer. at the same time mos def has like semi-legendary status, its wrong to even make that comparison to a metal vocalist. lyrically no, but ima argue dat his production skills can match premier's. on top of dat Fort minor and Styles of Beyond know how to make good albums. he ain't da best, but dat dont mean he's on point.

Would you say the Mike Shinoda is a metal vocalist? I wouldn't. I put him in the same crowd with Zack De La Rocha.

im not a metal head but can't linkin park be considered metal or at least alt metal? or are they just the rock genre version of kenny g or vanilla ice?

I am not really one for labels of that type, but if i had to, i would list them as rock, borderline emo.

i see nothing metal about them.

The are Alt. Metal with a kind of Rapcore vibe. They do well for what they are, but I prefer a Zack de la Rocha to Mike Shinoda.

I like Linkin Park. Possibly the first group i've gotten seriously into, but with each album a bit of me dies. I'm less keen on the newer stuff than the older songs. Crawling and Breaking the habit still ranks as my favourites.

In the End is my all time favorite Linkin Park song, i did like their mix with Jay-Z as well, especially Dirt Off My Shoulders/Lying From You
