but what I can't understand is why in the Yaoi/Yuri forum there is a LOT more yaoi stuff then yuri if this poll is like

Must be because those that hate yaoi voted for the "love Yuri, hate Yaoi" option, seeing as there's no one specific option for just hating yaoi. It is less likely that people would vote for love both than hate both. And it has been proven that most who dislike- or just don't read yaoi don't entirely hate yuri (for obvious reasons- one being because Yuri fans aren't so...O_O?). Therefore, majority of voters who just dislike yaoi voted for the second option, I doubt there's that many Yuri fans...

But that's just my opinion. O_O~

Or it could be that there really are that many Yuri fans since well, you know, some yuri action is quite common in hentai/porn...and ya...@_@

I wish there would be more yuri manga. I don't really get it why there are so much yaoi manga. I mean if you look genres section only shoujo has more series. I know a great deal of yaoi "series" are acctually doujinshi but still....

I loooove Yaoi!!! It's like my manga and anime love first. I read yuri and watch it as well....but being a girl I enjoy two guys making love a little more then girls xD.

I'm am currently reading 52 yaoi mangas right now xD...yup...I'm obessed >.<

Yaoi is more popular in japan. And in the western world out of the two...Yaoi is. Also more girl are opened minded then guys...on average. There are plenty of guys who don't like Yuri. Of if they do...it's like a mild thing. Of course same thing yaoi...but not as evident. They are whole conventions in north american just for Yaoi...it's just depends on how much people are into it. It would have been the same if guys or gals showed the same amount as the Yaoi fans do. ^^

So far Yaoi is in the lead....sweet! 😀

Maybe it's because I'm a girl, but I love yaoi but can't stand yuri. I did try to read it once and I really didn't like it.

i absolutely LOVE yuri, and i dislike anything that has to do with males. o_o ( i dislike males due to childhood issues ) = no yaoi for me

I prefer guy-on-guy to girl-on-girl, but from a storytelling standpoint I find shoujo-ai tends to be much better. There are less annoying cliches associated with the genre, or rather the cliches associated with it are less annoying.

Anyway, I really only like shoujo and josei shoujo-ai. Seinen and shounen shoujo-ai usually ends up feeling creepy.

I loved both to death equally. Yaoi and yuri happen to be my favourite anime/manga genres. They both have their pros and cons.

Although, I find two men kissing/engaging in sexual activity to be the hottest thing thing in the world--yet I am completely squicked by male anatomy, and I MUCH more attracted to females (in a way that men could not possibly compare). Strange? Perphaps. But I know of lesbians who find yaoi a turn-on (I'm bisexual, by the way).

Yuri, I can relate to more. As long as it's not complete fanservice with no shred of emotion (then I don't consider it truly "yuri")...

Dislike both.
I like boys/men struggeling with attraction towards an individual of the same sex and learning to life with it. The slice of life shounen-ai sort of story.
Since I am not interested in the female physique, shoujo-ai is irrelevant for me. Although some are indeed very nice.
Steamy sex, on the other hand, I honestly don't want to see. All this thrusting and moaning...no, thanks. (men/men, women/women, men/women alike)

Both but I more of shounen ai and shoujo ai. I don't like seeing sex, only smut.

I voted for "love both", although I prefer yuri over yaoi. It's just that I don't have anything particular against it. I avoid reading it, but if I ever did, it wouldn't disgust me, or anything. Anyway, yuri for me. XD
