Seems the 9th Division is some sort of disciplinary squad, who are responsible for upholding the law, AKA the cops. 😀 Maybe?

And yeah, no way it would be Aizen. This is Shounen, and the great Urahara can't be seen as 'evil' by killing innocents. Though it would be much better if it was Urahara. That would show that he doesn't have ordinary morals.

Another clue as to why I think it's Aizen is;

Ch. 175 p. 15
Ch. 175 p. 16

These pages seem to indicate that Aizen did his share of experiments too, and probably not only on Hollows. Though I could be wrong, and he really did only experiment on Hollows.

The other guy in the experiments could be Tousen... they did say he was with Aizen since the beggining...
Another thing I though... I though Ishin was one of the original team of captains but know I think it is unlikely... since Shinji didn't recognized his reiatsu but Urahara seems to be quite found of him. There is also the possibility of Ishin coming to know Urahara in the real world of course... so his time was either before or after these events

Yes, Hisagi Shuuhei (guy with the '69' tattoo on his face) probably had alot of respect and adoration for the 9th Division Captain, Kensei. Btw, Hisagi in present time, is the Vice-Captain of the 9th Division. So he stayed in the Division of the Captain he admired.

Maybe Hisagi just would like to let it be known to others that Kensei is his most admired and beloved captain. It's hard for Hisagi now that he was left behind by his captain twice although Kensei's disappearance was never intentional. What will hisagi's reaction be if he ever see kensei again in the real world? that is if he got the chance to fight in the real world together with the vaizards since if i remember it correctly he wasn't one of those who left soul society to stand guard on aizen's team's arrival or i maybe just forgotten

Huh, what in this coming chapter? Even if he was stabbed in the back would Tite's next story telling be for Kensei to be known as dead? I was thinking Kensei became a vaizard same time with shinji unless kensei after being stabbed was experimented first?Ah no no, I don't want that to happen. Hisagi got to have the time to train with Kensei first

Here's some more details~

The group sent in advance have all disappeared from their camp.

The 12 division are called in to investigate by Hiyori.

All the 9th squad members from the camp seem to be dead.

Someone stabs Kensei from behind.

Mashiro didn’t see anything because she was sleeping in the tent before the attack took place.

An emergency message is sent to each division captain in seireitei summoning them to an urgent meeting.

Kisuke heads to the scene shortly after hearing about it from Hiyori.

Kensei shows a tender side and fixes Mashiro’s scarf while she sleeps.

While being stabbed Kensei says “You...” and makes a face like he recognizes someone.
