What was your first fanfiction? Mine was this amazing FMA one on Quizilla 😀 (don't read there anymore though)
She went pro, it seems.
But otakubaybay & xObscurexOmenx - you must read this. OMG so steamy. DON'T CLICKY NON-YAOI FANS...or do...lol. 😉
Pro?? Damn, she must have been good. You see, that's what I'd like to do! I've written some of my own original BL stories, but I haven't written enough to be confident in posting it on fictionpress.com 🙁
Well, the prologue thingy was interesting 🤣 but for now I think I'l stay away from that site. After all, at my age it's pretty much illegal for me to be reading that. Not to mention, the computer I'm using is a shared computer 🙁 It did sound interesting though 🤣 (if this wasn't a shared computer I would have read it).

the best fanfiction i've ever read was "The Game of Love", a story wrote by a fan of Hana Yori Dango....i think that's it's captivating and phenomenon to the level that it could be make into a movie....you can check it out here - http://www.fanfiction.net/s/1039116/1/ if you're a fan of hana yori dango 😎

Yes, I do read it; but I'm choosy. I only read fanfiction by people who can write worth a damn, and fanfics written out of character are a pet peeve of mine. I don't like lemons, yaoi, most het, or self-inserts.
That said, I think writing fanfiction is a wonderful hobby - I write it, too 😛 It's a great relaxation tool when my original writing isn't going so well, when a series I liked ended badly (or too soon!), or when I just need a fix of a favourite series.
I also love doujinshi, but this is harder 'cause like I said, I don't read yaoi or sex.
no fanfics arent really my thing, but ive come across a couple of ones i liked though not many

I used to both read and write (yaoi) a long time ago, but I was thirteen and did a lemon, then my parents found out and...well, let's just say that it took almost a year before I was allowed on a computer again. It's a sensitive matter I'm even in forums now.
I go away and suddenly the spammers are the mods. Okay, I can adjust to that, but... Gorath?! And what's up with Mam's not being the top poster?
210 days until I'm legal, Indy!
ZombieKing ihas been challenged! Now it's between him, Blissful_wulf and Mamsmilk. And maybe Dr. Love.

I was unsatisfied with Ichigo 100%'s ending(and quite depressed about it too), so i went to fanfics for...comfort 😀 There was one really good one called "Ichigo 100 percent Atarashii Gakusei" which is a continuation of the manga and manaka does get together with Nishino
but then she dies and Aya takes her place :p
Too bad the author didn't finish it. Some douchebags were complaining that he made it an action type story even though it was actually good -__-
i need to find that

So, as it is proven, there are really good fanfics out there by super great authors who just haven't been published yet. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in a fan's depiction of characters that the lines blur a bit between fandom and canon. lol

You've managed to addict me to fanfics!!!
Ok, I take back what I said about badly written by sappy teenage-girls fanfics. Some on the site you indicated are very good. And I spent hours reading the one you linked (25 chapters in a row!), even if it was one of those guilty pleasures. How can anyone write that? I couldn't. But I read it nonetheless, hypocrite that I am. 🙄

Yeah, I was wondering when somebody will mention fanfics, i read aloooooot of 'em, it's really fun cause when otaku's like us write, they write what they like to happen in a manga or anime so it's refreshing, i prefer long fanfics but long good ones are hard to find, loool they're rated as safe, Lime, Lemon...

A big no here since, and this may sound a little b*tchy, I could care less what fans think should happen since they are not the ones that are writing the stories to begin with. Sure there are things that the writers do that piss me off, such as
when Kurono dies in Gantz but I don't see a need to go and write about how I feel something should happen.
Really though this is just My Opinion, and personally I don't mind that people write fanfics but really I could just care less since it really isn't canon. And for some reason I feel that I must add that I am not trying to offend anybody that likes fanfics with my response, but it's just that I feel that way about them.

The first really excellent fanfic that I read was the Draco Trilogy by Cassandra Claire in HP-verse...but I just looked it up for the spelling of the last name and found it is no longer available....
She went pro, it seems.

I went through a phase where I hated fanfiction... thought it was dreadful stuff... and then one day I turned around and started to love it. It's just cool that fans can read a story and then put their own spin on things and share it.. so interactive.
I used to be all about the Naruto fics, but recently I've gotten obsessed with Harry Potter. I don't even care about the books all that much (please nobody hurt me!) but there are just so many goooood HP fics out there. I wonder if HP attracts a slightly older crowd of writers? ( I mean like more college students and fewer high schoolers? Not that younger kids can't write too, but you know, in general, people's writing gets better as they get older).
I'm gonna check out the recs that everyone has posted so far!
