This idea basically came out of the old manga cliche where the protagonist has a crush on his/her childhood friend, and I wanted to find out if that actually happened in real life as well.

Hmm, as for me, I remember liking this girl in kindergarten, but she was highly desired! Me and my rival used to race for her affection. Good times, good times. laugh

hm..i voted, "kind of"

when I was 8, there's dis dude I liked. He's a bit sissy..prolly 'queer' is the best word to describe him XD and I told my friends dat I kinda liked hanging out with him. but y'know kids, they told him that I have a 'crush' on him and he was pissed at me. O.o;;

I didnt even "liked" him in that kind of way. I just "liked" him.

I had a childhood crush in the 4th grade. She invited me to every one of her parties, but I could never get up the courage to ask her out. Then the next year she moved and I didn't see her again until high school, where she developed into this VERY SEXY vixen. While in high school, she told me that she had liked me since that day we met in 4th grade. I felt stupid as fuck for not asking her out in elementary, so I asked her out in high school. To my surprise, she said no, and I was left there blaming myself.

Fast forward a few more years, and I meet her again at this Christmas party. When I ask her why she turned me down in high school, she told me that her family didn't like me all because I didn't act like a ghetto thug and that they actually wanted her to get with me only to horribly break up with me, and cause me pain. I was shocked, but thankful that she liked me enough to not do what her family told her to do.

Now we're best friends, but I still wish her family wasn't a bunch of assholes, because we'd be together by now. no

Yep. I had 2.
One in the 3rd grade (and a few years on). We were friends, and I started to like him~
The second was after that, but I'm not sure when.
He was a good friend of my first crush~

Well... Nothing much came out of both...
I became good friends with the first one, and we were like this for most of elementary school. Then we kind of drifted apart...

Yeah I had some. One I remember once was this friend of mine, it was around sixth grade. And I think I knew back then that I liked him, but I didn't even realize it until later. But since he was kind of a slacker, he didn't do too well in school. So his parents put him in a charter school. I saw him again in like 10th or 11th grade, and he was exactly the same. But then I ended up moving out, so that was the end of that. laugh

I had my first crush when I was 6. He was my next door neighbor and playmate. Everyday I couldn't wait to finish classes so that I could play with him. Our other playmates would tease us and we'd just smile shyly at each other...soo cute laugh

The next crush I had was when I was about 10. He was a jerk though and he'd tease me endless.

They're both married now BTW.

Yep 2. Although it should be 3, I just didn't know one guy had a twin...>_>

One was 14 when I was 10, and he was the "cool kid on the block" I would always chase him, he would always run away, until one day I jumped on him and planted a big smooch on his cheek. He shoved, he ran, end of story, and first heart break. laugh

The other two were just my kiddie playmates from when I was 6yrs old. Innocent crush, nothing went far (duh) I was always talking to a different twin everytime and didn't know it till like 5 years later.

Tbh I can't remember.

I remember I had a silly relationship at that age. I guess you could call him a 'crush' if you wanted. After that there wasn't really anyone else.

There hasn't been for years laugh

I voted kind of, because if I liked someone, I'd get confused with friends-feelings, almost-siblings-feelings, but I'd never get to the part where I'd say "I can't live with out him." XD
Although I remember trying to make my childhood, whom I sorta-slightly liked, jealous, but it didn't work so I stopped liking him. XD

Definitely didn't have any 'childhood friends', that were girls, that actually stuck around very long. Well, I didn't stick around very long. Moved when I was 8, and then again when I was getting out of elementary. So by the time I received my cooties vaccine it was all new people bigrazz.

I had one. He was that most adorable thing ever. He was short and had chubby cheeks and blond curly hair. And he was friends with one of my guy friends so he'd come by often to play with us, or hang out with his older brothers and be all ~cool and mysterious~

He was my crush forever, and one of my friends shouted that I liked him when we were walking home one day during middle school. I don't think he heard though, cause I kind of pushed her into oncoming traffic and ran. Now that I think about it, I saw him the other day. He's lost all his baby fat, but he's cheeks are still a little chubby and he's still kind of cute. And so nice. <3

But I don't think I have a crush on him much anymore. He looks like one of those guys that's been around a lot, if you catch my drift. Plus, it would have been tacky. My sister dated his brother laugh
