As for your opening post, I think that you're mistaken about money being the cause of evil. Currency is really a system that allowed for the advancement of society, and is very important in allowing development in many fields that might otherwise be impossible without the field. More of a problem is the system of ownership which creates possessiveness, greed, and selfishness within the populace. People don't kill for a fistful of paper and ink, but because of what that fistful represents to them.

As long as I can afford the necessities, I'd be content. Sure it's nice to buy things you want, but I was taught that if you can't pay for it (and you don't need it to survive, ie heat, water), it's not something you can't live without.

1>Yes. Money is something that helps loners like me. It gives me my internet connection, my ability to buy Manga (without which I'd have a terrible withdrawal), buy a Cable TV Connection with one or two anime channels, power backup, good and nutritious food, Software using which I generate more money, and apart from other necessities, some occasional Luxury like eating out in 5 star restaurants.
True/Best/Lasting Friends, I never had any, lived and played alone most of my life... and somehow, I don't socialize either.

2>No. If the process involved in making money is bringing some sort of harm or is Unlucky to me. Example, I never gamble money even if I know I'll win. It reduces my luck for the next time I have to use it...

I live with money in mind, but it doesn't control my life.
More, I worry about other people who don't have enough to live comfortably, so I am the sort to volunteer my time (and money) for charity and such.
I live for the arts: for creation and storytelling. It doesn't make much money, but I find true satisfaction in it and could not be content otherwise.

However; They say that money cannot buy happiness, but I think it comes pretty close 🤣

We all fight over money, compete for it, slave for it.
