Am I the only person who didn't find Elfen Lied, Claymore, Jisatsu Circle and Berserk depressing?

If going by what I find fascinating most people find depressing, I guess I'd have to say..
Goth, Tokyo Akazukin and Uzumaki.
(I did feel a little depressed at the end of Tokyo. I mean,

she didn't get eaten by Mr. Wolf !!

(I didn't find them sad.. but I guess they are most people think they are slightly depressing by what other people are saying.)

I didn't find those depressing either.. Except for maybe elfen lied, that was really sad, how they treated the persacons (don't remember how it's spelled), I'm reffering to the anime, because the way the manga was drawn, it looked as if someone wrote a less sadistic, more sirius version of "the happy tree friends" 🤢

Tokyo Akazukin I'm not sure how depressing this was.. It was mostly grossly violent>.<

Gunslinger Girl Seems depressing, but I haven't read to much of it (lack of time).. And I think it involes tragedy..

Tsuki Yadoru - one volume yaoi- no tragedy with a happy ending, but it was depressing, really...

how can you treat someone you love like that..

Shiiku Gakari Rika - another yaoi, really depressing and sad and even more.. Think, "The Lord of the Flies"..

'Gossly?' How was it gross? It was wonderfully, fascinatingly violent. Never grossly.

Cough Cough Anyway, back on topic. MPD Psycho could be counted as depressing. Mostly I just feel sorry for the poor guy.. so many personalities.. only one of them his in the first place, and it turns out he is not really 'himself'.... confusing..

I liked Gunslinger Girls. It wasn't depressing, and got boring after awhile.

Er, she was ripped apart many times...
I don't find violent like this depressing...
Emotional stuff makes me sad..
You are stronger than I am, in that area I presume^^

I guess you only read them for the violence, and not the underlying tones~ =D

So, of course you won't find it depressing~ And it's not depressing per se, you don't want to slit your wrists after reading it, but there are moments where you emphatize with a character.

Though the only one that did so was Claymore for me~

If Teresa's Death wasn't sad, then you don't know what you're talking about. >.< Seriously. o.O

Nah. They are what they are: slasher, violent fantasy and a small mystery story. There is not much to it really.

On the other hand, Basilisk is unbelievably depressing (still struggling to finish it). And Ai-Ren (there's no way you'll get beyond the first volume unless you are a masochist).

Jisatsu Circle/Suicide Club - Disturbingly sad

Uzumaki - Ending is sad, but mostly horror

Bokurano - Even though you mentioned this, I just can't not mention it - It's sad....

White Clouds - Heart-warmingly sad. Will make you cry in sympathy.

Elfen Lied - Art is okay, but it's somewhat sad. Depressing mostly.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series - Sad, horrifying, and betrayal describes this mostly.

Because Goodbyes are Coming Soon

Excellent, poignant one-shot about Okita Soji.

Also...
Elfen Lied is a good choice, though it's also rather horrific. If you go that route, Narutaru (you need the uncensored version) is also a very good read.

Hey.

U shoud read the series of Deep Love.

It's really sad and depressing.
U can't stop crying.

1- Ayu
2- Host
3- Reina
4- Pao

But it's quite hard to find a site with all of them.
Mangafox used to have it, but they don't now. I don't know why.

U can also read Ai Ren
