I already know of Joh Araki and I love his bartender. Hopefully Bartender will continue to be released, and maybe even sommelier will be released.

Other than Bartender though, are there any other mangas (or even animes) that have to do with appreciating alcohol? That can include beer, wine, cocktails, etc.

Moyashimon has rather a lot of fermented stuff in it. And, as luck would have it, most of that is alcoholic in nature. The manga won't be out for I don't know how long (but I do know it's being worked on), so you'll have to settle for the anime for now.

Other than that, the first one that came to mind was Sake Rabo. It's not translated by anyone, though, that I'm aware of.

Edit: No, I didn't change to my current avatar (which is of a drunk salaryman, and from Moyashimon) just to answer this. I changed it just recently, though, so it is a bit of a coincidence.

Ah! I almost forgot to mention Get backers.
There's an Arc about Grape Wine+Virus related to the Second World War in the mid-volumes of the manga. It's one of my favourite arc, and it's very interesting too. Thought that you would be interested in this.
