Typically, a series that goes through a time skip gets a new name at the end, you know Dragon ball Z from dragon ball, Naruto shipuuden from naruto...

Onepiece z?

common, I know you all want it to be called that, ammirite? 😀

ummm, LOL

just so you know; Dragonball Z and Naruto Shippuden are only named that way in the anime, not in the manga, there's no mangaka that'd need to/want to change the name of their manga, but for the anime which is mostly watched by the younger generations-generations that don't know how to read(especially in Japan) they change crap like that to make it better for kids...and no, I don't think anyone here would want OP to be renamed, that's just silly 😛
and even though a lot of ppl say that Oda makes it too similar to Toriyama, I honestly don't see it, I see that OP has long surpased DB in quality of the story and drawings, not to mention popularity, but any story similarities are stupid misconceptions of those that see one small detail and then blow it up like crazy just coz Oda said that he was inspired by Toriyama and even though the drawings were kinda simillar Oda has surpased him a long time ago 😛

Nope, you're wrong, period.

Manga doesn't change like that, even Hunter x Hunter didn't change after its "time skips"...

Like the above poster stated, it's the anime that gets changed and even then it's rare that it happens.

the name change mostly goes for the anime. I don ´t think they would do a name change after 476 episodes and 10 movies.
I can´t rememeber that a mainstream MANGA got a name change, naruto is still naruto and bleach is still bleach

The OP is talking about the anime, not the manga.
