What do you think of ninjas in manga? Are they cool or overused. Boring or the epitome of stealth and awesomeness.

Personally I think that too many manga use ninja characters.

Really? I cant say I have a good concrete image of ninjas in mangas. Other then the Naruto ninjas, most ninjas in other mangas play a minor role, or the very least not a very interesting one. They might be overused, but there is still potential for a good use of a ninja in a manga.

I guess you could say Ninjas haven been run to the ground. But thats not to say a could ninja character doesnt have its place in mangas.

I see them quite a lot. So they're not so out of the ordinary to me as it was before. I don't like it when they involve ninjas in shoujos, though. Never been a fan of ninja manga too. O_O.

Edit: Oooh.~An interesting manga with a ninja would be one with his face half-covered (I don't know how to explain), rarely talks,pretty weapons, and cool moves. 🤣

I think it would be cool to see more ninja characters who actually *act *like ninja, a mark the stereotypical ones seem to miss.

I like accurate depictions of Ninja's. (Almost like Basilisk)

As opposed to overpowered fireball shooting, toad summoning, water walking ninja.

I used to see more ninja mangas in the past. As for ninja just appearing in a comedy manga, I don't see what's wrong with it, unless the manga sucks, in which case it's all the same if there's a ninja or not.

Far-off places with sweet sounding names.

Eh, I'm not really a fan of ninja in general, I only read One Shot's dealing with ninja for the fun of it (and plus their only One Shot's and not whole series...), I can stand ninja in historical manga since usualy in historic manga they are potrayed more realisticaly. But on a whole I think ninja's are a bit overrated.
Which is one of the reason I avoided Nabari no Ou for so long, because it had ninja in it and it was a serious manga and not a light hearted One Shot... then I tried reading it out of boredom one day and now it's my favorite manga series 🤣 so now I'm a bit more careful to judge ninja manga though I still can't say I like ninja all that much...
