Prudes
Polite bump.
Online, I don't care about that all. You could discuss anal sex, and I'd join in, no sweats. 😮 But if someone moved the conversation to something more intimate in real life, I'd start feeling a bit awkward. It depends though on the actual subject matter. I suppose it makes me awkward since I don't have much to share. : x

Haha, you're always bumping old topics, doc (read: flogging a dead horse.)
I have no qualms talking about my period, even masturbation, which is hugely taboo for many girls.
Masturbation aside, even the prudes like myself aren't afraid to talk about our periods. I find that 99% of the time, it's the guy we're with/standing next to that feels uncomfortable hearing about it.

I've noticed this a lot. It's rather amusing actually.
I'm usually the one in the group who doesn't mind talking openly about my views and stuff on these sorts of topics, and I can see that sometimes my friends are uncomfortable, but when they see that I'm not embarrassed, they contribute more.
Not to say that I do this with everyone. It's more of a topic to discuss with people I know, thus I voted sometimes.

No, what's the big deal? Of course I won't start talking rude things in public or anything like that, but if the topic is sex, I don't feel uncomfortable nor conservative.

Speaking of anal sex, that's a frequent topic on break at work.

I don't mind, the topic of sex normally leaves cheap laughs. I just get uncomfortable sometimes because I have very little input apart from a witty comment every now and then. I will also get annoyed depending on the direction that the conversation is heading in. Sometimes you end up with misogynist in the conversation objectifying women and it doesn't go well with me so I just walk away and ignore his rants.
Talking about Masturbation is a weird one... we (me and my friend) just assume everyone does it, but there was this one situation when they decided to talk about our material, and I definitely didn't feel comfortable with that.
I generally consider myself more mature than most people in the university so not being able to talk about these topics will most likely be hypocritical on my part. 🤨

I am not prudish at all,
but tactful; there are situations where talking about sex is totally fine, and other times when it is very impolite.
Often depends upon who I am spending time with and where, but I am very open.

Exactly. Me too. Except I'm not really open about it. I like keeping mine private, but talking about it is fine, just not mine... >__< I don't think I'm making sense...

it depends for me really...around my friends i dont really mind it we talk about that stuff all the time...but when im around my girlfriend and her friends who are much more reserved than most of my friends i tend to try and steer clear of those convos, unless me and her are alone wen talking about that kind of stuff.
It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

I don't bring it up but if the topic is out there already I like to talk. It's funny and I love talking with my guy friends about it. Guy's opinion's and stories can be freakin' hilarious and can teach what not to do LOL...You should here some of the stuff the older women at work tell me has me blushing and believe me I don't blush easily. The girls call me a cochina and I consider myself very vocal on the subject and it's not like I'm a slut are anything.

I can talk about sex easily with most people (as long as it doesn't get personal or anything because then it's just awkward), but like Terpsichore said, its impolite in some situations and I will avoid discussing it at those times and with people who are not comfortable talking about it.

Like lots of people on here, it depends on the situation for me.

I have this one friend that when I make anything mildly sexually suggestive in anything I talk about, she puts her hands over her ears.
Isn't that weird or what? We're in college for Christsakes.
