I thought that living together for a month was supposed to lead to romantic comedy situations 😕 And the anime/manga personality was going to be inserted into an attractive body??
How about Vash from the Trigun anime?
He's sweet, gentle, good with kids, funny and respects life (he'd be able to put up with my cats), but can be strong and protective when needed. I think he'd appreciate a home-cooked meal, too.
Actually, Rain from the manga Immortal Rain would be the same (like what was mentioned in a thread somewheres about the similarities between Vash and Rain)
Alas, the old personality is supposed to return, and anime fantasies would go down the drain 😔

first, the mangaupdates forum posters are cronicly undecisive. Whenever they are asked to name their favorite or who they would choose at after at least 4 posts people start posting at least 5 different answers. And then more and more. 🤣
Secondly:
a tip for all the women,
pick Jet from Cowboy Bebop! In the one month before he would regain his old character he would take care of your pets, repair your House/appartment, soup up your car, start a bonzai garden, and if you give him some pocket money he would finally be able to cook all those meat dishes with real meat.

Oh wow...let's see. It's funny too, I mean, you start to see people's choice of girls (or guys) real soon with this topic. For example, those who choose Suzuka usually have Haruhi in their choice as well. What does that mean? They want to be in a female dominant relationship. That aside, here are my top picks.

Hmm... This a rather difficult question to answer... It's impossible to pick one, simply because I watch too much anime and read too much manga...

Re-l Mayar (Ergo Proxy) - She's cool and I like gothic girls...
Seras Victoria (Hellsing) - She's cute, cool and can be a little evil at times, but she has a good heart...
Amane Misa (Death Note) - A little airheaded, but she's cute and I like gothic girls...
Alita (Battle Angel Alita and Battle Angel Alita - Last order) - Strong and cute, with a kind heart...
Yakushimaru Hagane (Hagane) - Strong, cute and kind, although a little lost on the road of life...
Kamiya Kaoru (Rurouni Kenshin) - She's cute, with a strong will and a sense of justice...
Otonashi Saya (Blood+) - Strong, kind and gentle... and pretty cute too...
Teresa "Tessa" Testarossa (FMP) - Cute and kind, with a strong will...
Hyuuga Hinata (Naruto) - She's kinda shy, but she's incredibly cute, plus when she's determined she really get things done...
Deunan Knute (Appleseed 2004) - Strong, cool and sexy...
I think that should cover it, although it's somewhat influenced by what I'm currently watching and reading...
I saw some folks mentioning Kaname Chidori... pretty interesting, although I think you need quite a strong psyche to live with her... but I suppose she's a pretty nice girl too...
