reading 900+ chapter of ippo is entirely possible for just 1 day , but reading 300+ of berserk for 6 hours isn't

Ippo as sports manga has plenty of chapters that you can fill the dialogue on 2-3 pages + its normally 18-19 pages most of the time it has atleast 2 spreads that pretty much always lack any text in them , especially in fights the amount of text decreases even more.

Berserk is entirely different story , as monthly(former bi-weekly) series its always filled with 25-30 pages or more , that have much more content and story to tell rather than what a boxing manga can do.

But even if the content was the same and it isnt lets do the math.

6 hours = 360 minutes / 300 chapters(its easier to calculate this way) = 1.2 of a minute per chapter = 72 seconds per chapter

if you consider that each chapter has 30 pages and switching from page to page takes you 1s , that leaves you with 42 seconds per chapter to assimilate what was told , thought , narrated and stuff

That isn't a possible for any human to do , unless he skipped over bit time for berserk , but for ippo its entirely possible.

and his/her post was most likely a "lie"

reading 900 chapters in one day...no matter how you look at it is outragous[and most likely a lie]

hajime no ippo have a fair amount of text
and a rather big part of the manga is not actually about sports but the life around a couple of characters

and im not saying his lie is better than yours[his have obvious flaws]

That's the thing , i didn't lie. Its perfectly possible to read 900 chapter of ippo for less than 24 hours , especially when somemanga was working.

Yeah I am.. sometimes I have to force myself to slow down because I feel like I'm going too fast to savor it. 😛

Depends on the day. I mean, I can cover a couple volumes easily if I'm not inclined to pay attention to every single detail. However, there are days where I want to appreciate every sentence, eye movement, and motion so it may take hours.

For me, it really depends on the plot and how exciting it is. I can't tell on how fast do I read but I know If based "in one day" depending on the pages and the scenario... lets say...
If the manga is boring... around 2-3 chapter (like if its on 50+pages) 5 chapters (25less pages)
If the manga is exciting... around 6-8 chapter (like if its on 50+pages) 12 chapters (25less pages)
imo, i'm in the average (><)> idk if its odd that i posted it like this or not (・・; ) teehee...

If you like you can do the MATH (；一_一) ... i think maybe in a week is around 30 or 85 chapters xD
