It was explaned it an interview that she is not Misa. The only way it could go on is to make Light into a shinigami (since it was explained a hundred times that those who use the Death Note cannot goto heaven nor hell after their death), but i don't really want to see more DN.

I half agree with you. Takeshi Obata is such an amazing artist, I hope he picks up another amazing manga, though I disagree since I thought the first half of Death Note was pretty good. But I do look forward to what he will be doing in the future, and for Tsugumi Ohba's future works (if any, considering that the name is a penname).

hmm, at the end of Volume 13 - How to read, there's a oneshot that's about Death Note. Except this time, Ryuk didn't drop it on purpose, and it's a 13 yr old boy that picks it up. a HUGE event that contradicts some of the rules from before occurs here....

I guess we're all different. I've been reading manga for almost twenty years and felt Death Note was a masterpiece from beginning to end. It ended the only way good fiction could have ended with all philosophical questions answered. I sometimes think some of the critics weren't sure if they were reading a murder manga, shonen manga or what..but this book is about philosophy and it was quite satisfying to me and many professionals I know.

This would be a HUGE SUCCESS on every level. Yeah I don't know if I trust your assessment of this--it would be epic fail for what reason? The 1st series sold amazingly well, was critically lauded by many professional organizations and was hugely popular spinning off merchandise. Having just read the novel Another Death note (which was epic win) then I'm pretty confident they could continue Death note with more ingenius scenarios.

The oneshot is indeed about a new kira :he kills only 65 years old and above people... No need to ponder about it : it's shit.
Uninteresting characters (just matsuda and N are remaining) , no action at all , boring lines , a you-must-be-kidding-me-how-can-you-do-that-it-sucks ending....

It has obviously been created only for backing up the release of the 3rd movie : L change the world.
