yes, it seems he is. I found it on the net and already made a note on the linked website. The studio posted that it´s staff is fine

not every mangaka lives in the affected region. i think most of the mangaka in osaka are fine

Unless someone is living in one of the badly-hit areas of Japan (IE: NW of Tokyo, though my friends in Yokohama and Kyoto are having issues) it is likely they're fine, since they did not get the very worst of the tsunami (which seems to be claiming more lives than the initial quake- with entire towns' populations missing)

She lives in Tokushima, which is west Japan. Unless the tsunami was devastating there, it is likely she's just fine.

I'll check the list out as soon as possible...Of course every life is precious, but we can't help but feel a bit more concerned for our favourite artists I think... Above all I pray that the death toll stops here. I heard some alarming news about the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, it seems that the cooling system went down because of the earthquake and some of the reactors went critical...I don't know all the details yet...I pray with all my heart there won't be a second disaster on top of the first one.

Right now, my concern is mostly towards people like Amemiya Yuki [who was born in the Miyagi Prefecture] and Araki Hirohiko [who has family in Sendai] plus people like Matsumoto Leiji, who is in his 70s considering that the elderly have been among the hardest hit when it comes to casualties due to being less able to evacuate quickly.

It's good to know that so many people are okay... When I first heard about this disaster I didn't think how it would affect manga&anime, but later I started worrying, especially about Hiromu Arakawa and Hayao Miyazaki, so it's good to know they are fine. But I still don't know about Harold Sakuishi, he's not on the list and I have no idea where he lives 🙁

In the second spreadsheet (mangaka-only) there's a tab about dead/injured mangaka. It is empty now and let's hope it will stay empty!!!!!
