Vaizard are strong and all, but wasn't it established way back when (in the beginning of the manga) that Menos Grande are the cannon fodder of Arrancar? They can only do cero, which hasn't really ever hurt anyone yet (at least not much). It's so weak in fact that most Espada have their own stronger versions. Grimmjow's Gran Ray cero, Ulquiorra's black cero, etc, etc.

Therefore I don't see a reason to be impressed... Ichigo almost cut a Menos in half ages ago with his big clunky sword, when he was competing with Ishida over who kills more hollow:

I am just wondering...did I miss something? How does Shinji fighting with Gin make perfect sense? They have no history whatsoever. Gin and Rangiku or maybe Rukia, yes, but where is the connection with Shinji?

We really need to see Aizen is action. He has not done a damn thing during the entire manga. I know that Shinji will not last long, but at least give us something.

Also, I am going to say that Shinji removed his mask so that he could "power-up" later in the fight. Even Ichigo has learned to save the hollow mask for later.

But seriously, all of what you typed is exactly what I was thinking while I was reading the chapter. I mean, what the vizards did was cool and all, but what was the point of stretching all of that out to 16 pages? It could've easily taken 8 pages to show all of the vizards doing those kick-ass things. I don't know, it just seems like Kubo has horrid pacing or something...

and all espada can supposedly use Gran Rey Cero

The good old days. Back when Bleach was fun to read. An entire chapter was wasted with the vaizard or whatever beating up redshirts. Kubo couldn't do this with half a chapter and spent the rest actually building to something entertaining?

hmm...and it would be very interesting if we ever saw a fight between rangiku and gin...

At least I got my wish of shinji fighting aizen. Well shinji will kick ass that's for sure but in order for bleach to go further, tite will need shinji's ass to be kicked at the end. Anyway there's still urahara who i would like to fight aizen since it's also fitting that they both fight to settle the score which should have been settled a while back.

As to Gin I would like for either Byakuya or Hitsugaya to fight him, since the three of them are considered genius. Byakuya if he ever got the chance of escaping from hueco mundo might fight him because of rukia and hitsugaya because of hinamori/ rangiku.

While it's ok for vaizards to fight the gillians, i think they would be better fighting off the espada or wonderweiss. Gillians are lame and weak, Leave them to the other shinigami or plainly tite should let the vaizards finish them off quickly so he could focus on the much awaited and anticipated fight.
