I don't think it will be caused by stupidity but rather egotism. We'll definitely cause own our annihilation, not necessarily the world's. The world itself will eventually just die out.

Most likely, I think the human race will be wiped out by:

1. Disease spread by insects.
2. Dramatic change in climate. Not from global warming, but from external causes, such as a meteor, or the rotation of the earth around the sun.

But I don't know about the literal planet. It will probably last for much, much longer than I will have use for it.

but my three theories would be:
*a black hole O.o
*nuclear war

The planet will be destroyed when our sun begins running out of fuel and starts growing, swallowing everything in its path.

I'm guessing the human race would have destroyed itself by the time the sun explodes. I mean, we're talking billions of years here. I can't see the human race surviving billions of years at the rate we're going at.

I'd say war. See, as time goes on, we're going to create more powerful weapons, that cause more damage, and kills more innocent lives.

I answered aliens, but it could be an asteroid or some other extraterrestrial catastrophe (eventually, our sun will go supernova, for example). The planet will go on, with or without us, unless something from outside causes it to break.

Well, with the exception of an alien invasion, all of those options would be the result of human stupidity. Add nuclear holocaust to that mix, and that's pretty much what I think the world will be like come 3000 AD. If the human race can from destroying itself even that long.

I think the world will become uninhabitable once the population goes over...Eh, 25 billion? Maybe? I pray to god I won't be alive when that happens. I'd be so friggin' depressed.

It'll end, of course, from either a gamma ray burst, black hole swallowing the galaxy, the sun blowing up, or whatnot.

A Guy in my class was freaking me out today about how North Korea is about to start a nuclear war. It would only take 5 nuclear bomb to destroy the world..

Also i learn this a long time ago that if the sun did exploded, it would take us 8 mins to have an effected on use.

Omg, i scared myself......I cant go to sleep......

stupid people will take over and kill us with bad decisions. of course if stupid people take over from whoever else, then those people are dumb too...

I cannot imagine that only 5 nuclear bombs would destroy the world...5 might take out all of the US if placed correctly. Yes, 5 bombs dropped around the world would change civilization, but would not destroy the world. So, please sleep easy.

Alright, so maybe if these 5 bombs were to somehow hit the stockpiles of bombs that the US and/or Russia still have hanging around...then maybe the whole world. But, something like that would take military precision, right? No way that could happen...

the cause of global warming:
300 years ago, the masters of ninja masters faced off in a final battle.
However, they were too strong, and when their ultimate attacks clashed it knocked the earth into an irregular orbit, where we're steadily getting closer and closer to the sun.
Within 400 years the earth will crash into the sun, although we'll be dead long before then so no worries 😀

and of course everyone knows the solution to overpopulation is to increase the death rate, so i vote we make murder legal. or ban seat belts.

Doing nothing is very hard to do. You never know when you're done.
